Probably because they are works of art, fool.

Amazing. I feel like I'm most impressed with the light emanating from Achamian's eyes and mouth, despite the angle. What detail!

LOL.  I always feel like I should be faster, but I guess that's just my distorted sense of effort over time.  Cheers for the comments, Madness!

EDIT [Madness]: Changed thread title.

Man, these are really starting to take some time.  Thanks for the great feedback on these.

Akka v. Zioz from TTT.

I really like these. Whatever you're doing, keep doing it. Your stuff really captures the SA feel.

That's amazing, Som. Love the burning, fiery eyes surrounding the maw.

Of course. And so long as you are satisfied with the time spent, little else matters :).

Yeah, I'm caught on them too. Because of the mundanity of Akka and not showey that light is - thus making it more noticeable because it's discrete.

Another rendition of the Horns, with a little dramatis personae.

I wonder what the horns are? Or were they part of a hydrogen scoop type arangement?

edit: oh, is that the nail of heaven in the background?

Hmm. I've always seen the Horns as being recurved (S-shaped), like someone buried a gigantic lyre in the ground. Or like the Shield of Sil.

Thats pretty awesome.

Dusk I never thought of it quite like that, though they would appear far more menacing if shaped that way. It would make some sense that the the Shield of Sil was modeled somewhat after the ship, or at least what remained of it.

Cheers for the comments, everyone.

Callan:  Yep, Nail of Heaven representin'

Duskweaver:  Yeah, I'd never thought of them like that...  That would be kinda badass, though.  Where did that rendition of the Shield come from?

Hmm I looked for it but couldn't find it. There is a brief discussion about the shield in the TUC Chapter 1 excerpt near the beginning.
