Nice song by imagine dragons, it's very soft to the ears, thx for the tip.
It's also a nice diversion from the new album from Summoning, which plays a hundred times in my playlist in the last few weeks. :D

I'm not a very big fan of black metal, but somehow, this band is amazing and I could listen to their music for hours. And their new album "Old mornings dawn" is fantastic.
A very cool soundtrack to the TSA in my opinion.

Literature / Re: YOU MUST TELL ME ... What else are you reading?

While I'm waiting for the Unholy Consult, I have read only one good fantasy book this year. Joe Abercrombie's "Red Country". Gritty and action-packed. It is a nice and fast read, just the right thing for a lazy friday evening ( and one of the fantasy books in german language with a halfway decent translation :-\ ).

Apart from this, I have expanded my bookshelf with books about the Punic Wars.  I have most of the german books about this special topic and now it is time for some good english books.

Since I have encountered a well written Hannibal biography a few years ago, I collect all things about this ancient era. Right now I'm reading "The Blackwell Companion about the Punic Wars". It was an expensive purchase, but inside there are many good essays about the three wars between carthage and rome.

And after that I have to read "Carthage must be destroyed" by Richard Miles.

The Thousandfold Thought / Re: Favorite Scenes
« on: May 23, 2013, 07:42:59 pm »
My favourite scenes in the first book are Inrau's Death, the consult visiting Esmi, and Skeaös' esposure as a skin-spy.
The first time, Bakker described the synthetic bird and the following conversation, I was completely hooked to the story.
The night between Esmenet and the Inchoroi was a great scene, where we first saw a glimpse of the consult.
And the scene in the dungeon with Achamian, Xerius and Skeaös was the point, where I recognised, that this fantasy story was going to be really thrilling and epic.
One of the coolest scenes in the second book was the epilog in my opinion. "WHO ARE THE DUNYAIN?" Absolutely great epilog by Bakker!
And I LOVE all dialogs between Cnaiur and Kellhus. Especially written, when Cnaiur is the POV.

Mmmmhh, there are so many things, I could find in the books, but when I has to name the greatest scene, it is the first "clash between Kellhus and the consult in book three. It's a passage, which I could read every day anew. "The consult has finally come." and so on....fantastic reading.

I was wondering, why nobody was posting something back at the old board.
It took me almost a week, before I read "We've moved!" ::)
Finally, I have one of my two forums back, where I write more than two posts a year, I'm so glad ;D
