Alternatively, Bakker has maintained as far back as ZTS comments that though they eschew the practice both the Nonmen and Gnostic Schools have "flirted with summoning various 'Agencies.'"

Yeah I think the distinction with the Scarlet Spires is that they were the only ones to study it systematically at an organizational level.

Indeed. If I recall correctly, Iyokus prides himself on that fact in TWP when summoning the first on-page Ciphrang to deal with Achamian.
