I came up with the following epitaph for myself while composing a response on another thread. Perhaps others would like to join in? What do you want to have written on your tombstone?
              * * *             * * *             * * *
"Herein lies old BFK.
Sixty years not less a day
Walked he on this garden green.
Ne'er his like eftsoon be seen."

I've received my first commission! The noted Eärwan comic Zôreius Öenghûs, via means sorcerous yet not damnable, has to me expressed interest in an epitaph for his own fine self.....

"Zôreius Öenghûs here doth lie;
His whoreson madcap race is run.
They say a fool oft times doth die,
Old Zorro died but just the one."
"The heart of any other, because it has a will, would remain forever mysterious."

The thought of your death(s) makes me sad ... don't die, BFK - the world is more interesting with you in it.

Can't think of an epitaph at the moment, but if the darkness yields something funny/clever, I'll post it. Or can I commission you to do one for me?
It's me, Dave, open up, I've got the stuff

I've been introduced to the idea of writing your own eulogy/obituary as a practice of motivation many times over.

One of the best (and most recent) versions I've heard (again) is to write your own eulogy/obituary as it would be read today and then again as you would prefer it read and then start making the intervening steps.

An encomium:

"A mighty mod, then, is our Wilshire;
His BanHammer smites both high and low.
With deadpan wit sends to the fire
All fools and knaves, who cry out 'Woe!'"

(I think I've finally got the scansion right!)

"Tao Horror herein lies;
His winning ways at last surcease.
His friends do mourn with piteous cries:
'Alack, wherefore shall we find ease?'"

I'm in an Elizabethan state of mind......
