As other people seem to admit as well, I'm a long time lurker. I bought TDTCB a long while back, and I am such a weirdo it took me a few years to actually complete the book. I would read the book almost to the finish, but I wouldn't want it to end so I would start again at the beginning.  Finally I was so enthralled with this book that I had the courage to learn the end. I ventured on to the other books in this series and did the same thing with each of the other books though not as many times. I am now quite sad that the next book hasn't been written. I read nothing else. I recently bought an audible account and I bought and listened to all the books in audio form as well now. I have moved on to Steven Erikson for the time being so I have something to occupy my need for fantasy, but nothing compares to Bakker's series.

So, hi all. It's nice to know that there are other people out there as crazy for these books as I am

Welcome to the circus. Why have you not posted? I'm sure someone who's read so much and waited so long has plenty of crazy ideas and hopes for what remains of the series, or for what has happened so far.

Some of us are just flat out crazy. :D

8 years since I stumbled onto TDTCB.
I read the damn things in a couple days.  Bakkers books are amongst the very few books I have ever read more than once.  (Twice now, but I hunt down specific passages for discussions' sake so often I think it counts as a lot more now).

Anyhoo, welcome!

Welcome, again, to the Second Apocalypse, Biko :). Let us know how you like Malazan whenever you make it through.

Why have you not posted?

I'd love to see that census data. Lol I'm always, always blown away by the stellar quality of posts by those lurkers who decide to break their silence.

Speak for yourself ;).

This counts. Probably more than rereading, realistically.
The Existential Scream
Weaponizing the Warrior Pose - Declare War Inwardly
carnificibus: multus sanguis fluit
Die Better
The Theory-Killer

Sometimes I like to reread sarcastically rather than realistically ;)

Get out!

Lol. We can't just have people reading sarcastically, all willy-nilly like, with chicanery and such ;).

I'm entitled to read the text however I wish!

btw had to look up chicanery (the use of trickery to achieve a political, financial, or legal purpose.). Good word.

Hi Biko!  I also like the audio books!  Love audio books in general.
