Ciogli was indeed a huge mountain of a Nonman.

Love that the Tall exist and my crazy little theory about this being little is correct. :)

Anyway they mentioned Ciogli so we may yet see him!

Doesn't Ciogli take an arrow to the eye in the Four Revelations?

Indeed he does.

I meant to post about this earlier, but I was on my phone and it was awkward to pull the quote from Revelations.

Quote
Great Ciogli teeters, his head turning as if to catch some uncommon sound from a drowse, and they see it: the lone arrow pricking from the slot of his helm.

This takes place at Inniür-Shigogli, the “Black Furnace Plain.”

I am a warrior of ages, Anasurimbor. . . ages. I have dipped my nimil in a thousand hearts. I have ridden both against and for the No-God in the great wars that authored this wilderness. I have scaled the ramparts of great Golgotterath, watched the hearts of High Kings break for fury. -Cet'ingira

Isn't it also mentioned in one of the Ishterebinth chapters that few could hang with Croglin in the Holy Deep. Maybe I misremember

Don't recall exact details because I lent my ARC to a friend lol—like so many people here.   You are referring to when Sorweel and Oinaral are talking about knowing for sure if Oirunas is still alive, right?  He says something like, "He still lives because only The Mountain could ever knock him from his feet."  I don't think they say anything about Ciogli being alive still or in Ishterebinth.

Yeah HP I think that is the scene I referred to.

So judging by this we may have the most physically powerful Nonman taking the fight to the Vile.

Awesome.
