One of the most different and amazing things I have ever read.  It didn't go the way I wanted the story to go, but I thought it was perfect.  I did not let that color my feelings on the book.  I am Team Kellhus all the way and I wanted a win for him; obviously not what happened.  Bakker books read like scripture and tell me more about me as a person than any other thing I have read. I can't wait for more.  It transcends reading because of how he writes; how can you not want more of this?  ASOIAF, Kingkiller Chronicles, Dresden, The Iron Druid, and even Dragonlance and that old stuff doesn't come close to what Bakker has done with his books and world.  Time spent rereading, lurking on here and researching related topics to *know*.  That is amazing.  The only thing that comes close is Richard Kadrey or Wily Vlautin; check them out- good thinking man writing.

Those t-shirts that Redditor made are awesome.  What is the link for Thing Called Sarcellus?  It wasn't a hyper link in the post.  I have a few ideas and I would like to see how hard this is to do.  Im not interested in making money; i just want to rock and support my fav books.  Also, if we buy shirts from that guy with the 3 designs do you think Bakker would get upset?  Just wondering....

Hello all, so sorry I missed the con. Sounded bad ass. Loved the Unholy Consult.

My prediction for the No God is that the deformed boy is the hero taught by Akka  and Meppa. And Kellhus has a part to play from the outside.  Also, Esme may prove instrumental in the battles to come, since the No God is part her son who is obsessed with her, as Kellhus points out. So excited!!

Good luck everyone...im sure one of those posters would look good on everyone's walls!

Thanks for the link. This is badass.  Just a few thoughts:

× Did anyone notice in the What has come before part it said Moe fled Ishual.

× Really think Kellhus knew his kid was f'ed up the whole time.

×Cnaiur and Moe Jr. will reunite

×Kellhus loves Esmi,  in some unfathomable  (to us) way. He knows something we don't.

×Kellhus will not kill his son, Esmi will.

× Sorweel may kill Moe Jr. Perhaps in protecting Serwa

×These books fucking rock.

When I first saw the teaser I immediately thought of Serwe.  Bakker did mention her as being a cipher of sorts (forget the exact wording) for the books. Maybe crack potish of theories,  but who knows.

Proyas successfully manages the remaining Ordealmen and Kellhus makes it to The Golden Ark along with Akka and Mimara. When everyone meets up Mimara sees that Kellhus is holy because of his machinations  (which will be revealed). The No God is brought forth and defeated by Mimara as Kellhus knew it would be. Kellhus somehow becomes a god and it is revealed he was the voice guiding his past self. Don't know how this affects being damned but somehow Kellhus rewrites the metaphysics of Earwa.  Super geeked for July!!!!

I am so trying to be in on this. Long time lurker and first time poster.  Hello all.  Your explanations and ideas about the books we all love are amazing, thank you all.  I am trying to clear some time in August for the Con.  Im in Pittsburgh, PA so the drive is not too bad I have discovered.  I would love to finally meet some folks that have read and loved Bakker!  I never have any folks to discuss books with and Im not into the net discussions as much (but I am trying now).

Also,  someone on here recommended some books in a post (I believe it was here, may have been a Reddit thing for Bakker) and I must thank you.  The books in question were the Books of Babel by Josiah Bancroft.  There are two books out in the series now and, wow, super awesome.  Thanks for the suggestion.  These books were amazing and they broke my heart.  Also, very different from Bakker.  I highly recommend.

Thank you again ladies and gents, I really appreciate your effort and thoughts.
