This seems the place to ask - slowing putting together some comprehensive stuff on US health care resources here.

Was thinking people here might help with the mental health section. Can be local or national.

There's a bunch of other stuff in there, like special needs and disability registries divided by state/city/county and one for DC+ its surrounding area.

thanks,

Sci

Very worthy, Sci.
Sorry I can't help - me being a dirty furiner.

Worked at various nonprofits, but also just noticed in online conversations how people weren't aware of the varied health resources out there.

The biggest things people didn't seem to no about were resources for those who were disabled, emergency/911 special needs registries so EMTs have info prior to arrival, and access to cheap/free mental health.

Then I even talked to a friend in the mental health provider field, and he had never known about the resources.

Just made me think it would be good to start having this kind of information in one place. But I think a Google Doc won't cut it, will probably need at least a simple website for ease of navigation.

Well anything is certainly better than nothing, and it looks like a great start to me, though a website might be nice so people could more easily find the information.

Yeah, I'm thinking about the website and maybe trying to do a little beyond the U.S.

My worry is that it'll be something that becomes hard to manage over time, but we'll see how it goes.

Continuing to add resources to the Google Doc, including some Canadian ones.
