I personally think he is schizophrenic but the guys a genius so no questions it. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had heard of the name Elroy Hutch. It is what he calls his so called "alternate personality", thought maybe it could be a tribute to some obscure piece of work, or not so obscure I dunno.

Anyone?

No.

Keep your long term goals in mind, lest to be swept up as strand amongst bunched strands.

Apparently, Elroy Hutch wrote something called the American Poet last year...?

The personality I guess, no idea who your professor is. Lol.

By the way, it doesn't really matter, but professor of what... Schizophrenic usually don't have true MPD.

Its my senior Plant Design course, he's got at least 1 Ph.D and it is in Chemical Engineering, but he could have more.
He is an MIT grad so some eccentricity is to be expected, but this is ridiculous.

And yeah I googled the name and came up with that poet stuff but I thought maybe someone would have a better idea. You never know what you're going to get on this site.

They're just people, Wilshire. Subject to all the same heuristics and biases as the rest of us... even some worse ones, than the rest of us, due to intellectual socialization.

The worst part is most professor's ignore such self-criticisms... like the rest of us.

Crowdsourcing knowledge is one of my favorite aspects of this forum. I admire our anomalous noosphere - I have so much to learn from you all.

Let me be judgmental in peace! I submit that he has an undiagnosed case of schizophrenia.
