The Great Ordeal / Re: [TGO SPOILERS] Meppa is...

Lmao.

Honestly, I'll say again - I was a huge proponent of the "there's more to Moenghus the Elder" theories, though I'm largely sated by Kellhus admitting to Proyas that he killed his father in error. Regardless, I am, in fact, still holding out for Moenghus-Ascended.

Where was this? I'm on a re-read but am missing this (the mistake of killing his father).

Cheers.

I thought we've heard somewhere that the Consult had a few thousand Erratics on their side. I could be making it up, but I thought Bakker said that at one time.

Oinaral says "thousands" to Sorweel as well, that have gone over to the Consult.

I figure Kellhus' Non Men gamble is to make sure they aren't taken from behind at Dagliash. Covering his flank and eliminating variables by confirming, or denying the Non Men as allies or enemies.

Plus, as mentioned above, we don't know how powerful even a handful of the Non Men mages would be. Cleric was an absolute monster.

He normally says the God speaks to him around world-born though, I thought? He never mentions the No-God's voice to anyone but Moenghus, if I'm not mistaken.

Pretty sure he mentioned it to Akka, but, that was when they were starting to split off. It may have been in the exact chapter where Achamian starts to confront Kellhus when he finally "see's" the Dunyain. It didn't register for Akka, because he was past listening to Kellhus. In that moment, its hard to also take Kellhus "seriously" as well, versus when he speaks with Moenghus, and self-narrates his "insanity" in hearing the No-God speak.

https://www.patreon.com/ may be a good spot for Bakker as well. Though I personally wouldn't care for any "benefits" like many of the Patreon users do (like extra content, or a reading shoutout, etc.)

Huh, I guess when a free ARC is involved, theses great theories start coming out the woodwork! Where have you guys been the last few years?

Heh. I forgot about this forum, when the original was shut down. I've re-read the series at least 6x. Sometimes, I'll just go through a big section (like Akha v Cleric, or anything Cnaiur).

Whenever I got some crazy flash of inspiration, the Westeros folks already covered it, so I don't post too much about Bakker except trying to get people to read him.

[question] Is dead wizard salt actually valuable in a military, or metaphysical sense, or, would just be a very high-value token of "wealth."
