General Earwa / Emwama
« on: May 22, 2016, 11:57:46 pm »
So, the Emwama were the slaves of the nonmen and were all eradicated with the nonmen when the four tribes took over Earwa.  But...  Is it possible there are still some Emwama alive and enslaved in Isterebinth?

General Earwa / atrithau
« on: July 01, 2015, 07:50:48 am »
So I have been wondering why the millions upon millions of sranc have never destroyed atrithau.  It just seems strange to me.  I know that atrithau is an arcane ground but if anything you'd think that would work against them- as the sranc will always win in pure numbers games (ok not always but almost).

The more I think about it the more I wonder if the Consult wanted some humans nearby to survive.  Maybe to provide them with slaves or rape victims or just to play with in other ways.  What do you guys think?

General Earwa / Norsirai schools?
« on: February 05, 2015, 04:35:19 pm »
I am just wondering if anyone remembers any schools that are primarily norsirai?

Mandate:  recruited from Nroni
Scarlet Spires:  recruited from Ainoni
Saik:  " " Nansur
Vokalati (spelling?): " " Nilnameshi
Cishaurim:  " " Kianene
Mysunsai:  ?
Swayal Compact:  probably the only truly diverse school
Hell, even the College of Luthymae is probably mostly Nansur

I guess technically the consult is mostly norsirai   ;D

Also, I kind of remember Akka mentioning minor schools but never actually naming any.  I also find it odd that Atrithau and Sakarpus dont have schools.  Youd think that being as threatened by sranc as they are they would be ok with any advantage they can get, tusk or not.

Writing / Work in Progress
« on: December 28, 2014, 07:22:25 am »
Im writing an alternate history story set in the 1770s on a fictional landmass west of California.  The colony doesn't join the American Revolution but it also gets largely ignored by the Brits as they focus so much of their resources on the Americans and thus has to become more independent.

I originally wanted to have the story focus on how my characters survive but as Ive been writing the story has mutated into more of a revenge tale where the protagonist is forced to defend himself from a man wanting revenge for things the protagonists father did to him before emigrating to the colony.

I honestly have no idea where it will go.  Ill update this eventually after I finish a rough draft.

News/Announcements / Book Tour
« on: October 21, 2014, 06:09:53 am »
Does Bakker usually do tours when he releases books?  I got to see GRRM when book 5 came out (total disappointment) and had him sign my old kindle case with a sharpie lol.  Id be willing to drive quite a ways for to let my nerdy inner fanboy get an autograph and a pic with Kellhus I mean Scott    :-[

Introduce Yourself / Hey
« on: July 02, 2014, 07:37:12 am »
Hey guys.  Long time Bakker fan here.  I was on one of the previous Prince of Nothing forums but I didnt visit very often (dont even remember which forum it was) but figured Id show my support and join the newest forum.  I just read the available part of Chapter 1 of TUC and wow.  Cant wait to buy it and read it over and over!

A little about myself.  Im 24, not sure how old most other Bakker fans are.  Im weeks away from finishing my contract in the US army and moving back to southern California.   Im a staunch libertarian (NOT A REPUBLICAN WARMONGER TYVM!) and am very active on two other online forums, calguns.net and ar15.com under the same username.  If all that doesn't ostracize me enough, I am actually very religious which I imagine makes me even more of a weirdo among Bakker fans lol.  Im also a happy husband and proud father. Oh yeah and I love love love love love the Second Apocalypse.  I consider it to be the most creative, unique and 'realistic' fantasy universe I have ever come across.  My first runner up, (Joe Abercrombie's work) is not even close, though still excellent in its own right.

Edit:  I forgot to mention, I plan on studying healthcare administration now that I will have my GI Bill.  Just thought I'd share if there are any healthcare professionals here.  :)
