http://commonplacebooks.com/welcome-to-night-vale/

"WELCOME TO NIGHT VALE is a twice-monthly podcast in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events.

Turn on your radio and hide."

Brain Science Podcast - Brain science lite, in my opinion. Some great interviews and reviews with some of my favorite academic heroes and heroines.
Books & Ideas - Same host as BSP, with a lite lite feel. I tried to have her get Bakker and Neuropath on it but to no apparent avail.

Alex Jones - Because "real" news sucks and this is much more entertaining, if barely critical...
Cutting Through the Matrix - Because he's Scottish, because he lives in the wilderness of Canada, and because "real" news sucks - professionalism is lax, if only a little more heavily critical...

I have a number of others in mind but you've sent me digging, Sci. I shall be back to add a few more of my favorite (though to be fair, I basically only listen to BSP or Alex Jones with breakfast, being my little free time at the moment).
The Existential Scream
Weaponizing the Warrior Pose - Declare War Inwardly
carnificibus: multus sanguis fluit
Die Better
The Theory-Killer

For comedy and creative and imaginative ideas I would recommend Joe Rogan and Duncan Trussell podcasts.

The psychedelic salon is another one,if you like controversial topics and ideas. Here are talks from Terence Mckenna,Daniel Pinchbeck,V.S Ramachandran,Timothy Leary,Ralph Abraham and many many more :)

Youarenotsosmart - I had discovered this before and then neglected to listen to it - I think we all know the blog from Bakker's TPB links or our own perusal, either way.

James Corbett has many interesting podcasts.

This is a good one for starters.

Wow, Madness, how you've repeated myself ;).

- The Joe Rogan Experience: Hit or miss for me. I used to only listen when I already was familiar with his guest but in the past couple months I've started listening indiscriminately as time allows.
- Under the Skin: Russell Brand's (of Aldous Snow/Forgetting Sarah Marshall/Get Him to the Greek fame) podcast. JRE turned me onto this. There is some interesting listening therein.
- The Upgrade by Lifehacker
- The Tim Ferriss Show: Apparently, this is the most popular podcast ever, often taped on-stage before sold-out audiences. I discovered it recently when I read an article about Tribe of Mentors and subsequently listened to interviews with Ferriss on The Upgrade and The Art of Manliness (linked above) within days of each other.

New additions:

- Revisionist History with Malcolm Gladwell: listened to my first episode of this today after I finished listening to his appearance on The Art of Manliness.
- Jocko Podcast: I haven't listened to this yet as I'm working my way through Willink's guest appearances building up to when he first started his podcast.

Intelligence Squared Debates

Just paid some attention to a recommendation by a TPB commenter, Artificial Intelligence: The Risks Could Outweigh the Rewards. My random bullet point comments as I had time while listening and doing chores are here.
