Post by: Mandos on June 25, 2016, 07:46:13 am
Did they have agriculture, crops & domestic animals? Or hunting & gathering? From the books' description of Ishual (and TGO preview), it seems to be surrounded closely by woods, without any agricultural land.

In earlier versions of TTCB I actually explain the logistics of Ishual, the division of agricultural labour among the Dunyain, and so on. But once I realized just how big the info mountain the reader need to climb was, I began ripping out all nonessential details. By time Akka and Mimara reach Ishual...

It's ironic that, now sold on the works, we'd love to read that section!

Maybe one day if the series gets big you can publish a book of Dûnyain recipes and cuisine with artwork from somnambulist. I'd buy that.

He did mention publishing a complete edition of tdtcb on three seas. With how the sales of the series are going don't know if that's still happening.

TSA standalone companion required.

Perhaps such a menial task could be delegated to someone with a mind and hand for writing, and proximity to Bakker and his coffers of lost notes and other forgotten crumpled treasures. A trusted soul of some kind. If only...

Then, call it, "What Has Been Forgotten" or some  other such references to secrets and lost information. Could even go the way of ebook format to reduce production cost.

World of Ice and Fire (westeros history book, I think) was written by Ran and the other admin who run the westeros forums using notes and info from grrm.
