The Great Ordeal / Re: [TGO Spoilers] Embarrassing Question
« on: September 24, 2016, 09:02:21 am »
Both are being described.

One is of the vision of the future where he dies (that does not come true)
The other is of reality where he survives.

I kinda assumed the hardware or the knowhow was lost in the crash.
I suspect the Nuke was a one off functional device, saved for a real emergency?

You mean the Mentat Duke.
Oh I mean the kwisatz haderach who used religion to build an Empire?
Yeah, he nuked the Shield Wall.

Just a few similarities  :)

Sorry I don’t think I was clear there H.

I mean the Arcs shields struck the ground before Arc impact, as they were presumable surrounding the ship.
Hence the story from sources who witnessed the impact of an explosion before the impact of the ship.

I’m not saying the Nuke was some kind of shield generator.

Could be the Ships shields that impacted before the Ark hit.

Did I miss something here?

So Iyokus sends the paramount daemon to attack Akka at the ruins.
He gets the daemon to deliver a message just before the fight starts.
Stating, “an eye for an eye” (obviously that means he intends to take Akka’s eyes as Akka took his own?)

The next thing we know, the daemon has bested Akka and is flying away with him clutched in his grasp.
And then…………… nothing.

Akka wakes up on a beach, bruised and broken, but alive.

Err, why bother attacking him at all?
I don’t get it.

If i remember right.
It was an affair that happened when both were students.

You mean between Sancla and Achamian?

Yes, somewhere in the Warrior prophet, Achamian reminisces about his student days.
And how sad it was to lose his friend and fellow student to some drunk with a chorea.
He mentions his eyes, and how they had led them to being lovers for a time.
I personally think this is the only instance of homosexuality by Achamian.

Tigra, the strongest human sorcerer of all time could take out one of the twins and the Mangaecca grand master at the same time with ease. (At least that’s the impression I took away from the false sun)

I can’t see kellhus having a problem with them.

It usually takes a hell of a lot less time to construct something a second time around, so id hazard it’s the substance required that is the crucial factor here.
They also salvaged the remains of the NG from the fields of Menggeda, giving them a head start?

It’s harvesting souls not corpses?
But you hit on a point there.

Time line.

1123 - Shaeönanra, Grandvizier of the Mangaecca, claims to have rediscovered a means of saving the souls of those damned by sorcery. Mangaecca was promptly outlawed for impiety. Mangaecca abandon Sauglish and flee to Golgotterath

2143 - In spring the No-God is summoned. Across the world, Sranc, Bashrag, and Wracu, all the obscene progeny of the Inchoroi, hearkened to his call. Sag-Marmau and the greater glory of Kûniüri are annihilated. All Men could sense his dread presence on the horizon, and all infants were born dead. The 11 years when all infants were still born comes to be known as the Years of the Crib. Anasûrimbor Celmomas II had little difficulty gathering support for his Second Ordeal. Nil’giccas and Celmomas were reconciled. Across Eärwa, hosts of Men began marching toward Kûniüri

So it took 1000 years, ish to summon the NG the first time.
And 2000 years have passed since.
Why would it take twice the time?

The White-Luck Warrior / Kellhus ultimate goal?

From the outset i’ll say that I don’t have a clue what that may be.
However, one thing that is related to it I suspect is the destruction of the inrithi religion and its “Gods”.
If he were to orchestrate the obliteration of the great ordeal, and the empire back home (under Esmenets deliberately inept leadership) was to suffer a similar fate.
Would that not in effect take away the vast majority of the “Gods” Support/sustenance, whatever you call what they need to exist?
I don’t think the southern nations need to die off, as they would revert to Fanimry under Fanayals leadership.
With the “Gods” weakened and an army of dammed schoolmen at his command, what would be his next step?

(I would have posted this on the Unholy Consult forum, but there is no tab for new topic.)

I always assumed the depth of a mark was an accumulation of sin.

As for Tigra, he was blind as a child?
That fact was what I guessed to be the reason for his different mark.

As for who is dammed?
It could be as simple as the Cish have no mark, so their faith is the true one?
