An accomplished anagogic Grandmaster would likely prove too much to handle for young students of the Gnosis, certainly.

Many questions, most requiring answers that would count as 'world spoilers.' The fact you're asking them makes me think I've done well to give the narrative the job of world relating! You're asking all the questions I want readers to be asking at this point. I can tell you though, because it's buried in the text already, that aside from Serwa, only Apperens Sacarrees is rumoured to have successfully recited a metagnostic cant.

I'm just pulling all the materials together now, so the question is one that's been niggling me as well. Before, I would have agreed with your estimate, but I've since added four chapters, as well as reams of new material for the Glossary. This will be a big book, never fear Mith!

Author Q&A / Re: The themes, then and now?
« on: June 22, 2016, 12:10:47 pm »
Good question: I originally worked out the story over the course of a three year long D&D campaign in my mid-teens. I had been wrestling with the implications of determinism since I was fourteen, so the whole dichotomy of meat and spirit was front and centre in my thinking. I kept picking at the story for years afterward, marbling in more and more thematic concerns the deeper my knowledge of philosophy became. But the master theme, and the dilemma that cracked apart my Christian worldview, remained constant, primarily because no one had any answers to my questions, then or now. I write about this in "Outing the It that Thinks" which should be coming out this summer in a Nietzsche anthology called "Digital Dionysus."

Looks like a continuity error to me. A pretty bone-headed one at that!

I've been interested in apophatics for quite some time, but the No-God predates that interest. A better way to think of the No-God is as a philosophical zombie (p-zombie), of a piece with all the other soulless instruments of the Inchoroi. A perfectly unconscious god, and so in that respect, entirely at one with material reality, continuous with it, and so an agency invisible to the Outside.

The Psukhe turns more on dispositions than on learning, so it makes sense that dispositional savants would attain great power. But the metaphysics are different, so it's really like comparing apples and oranges. The Psukhe possesses a more volatile range.

Otherwise, the Metagnosis, the Gnosis, and the Anagogis is the generally accepted rank.

Not until the series is concluded, no. Sorry, but you'll understand once you've completed TGO.

Serwe is an important cipher in the books. Kellhus is not above chicanery. There's not much more I can say without getting deeper into either, which I don't want to do until the series is completed.

Author Q&A / Re: How many books are planned?
« on: June 22, 2016, 02:37:56 am »
Pretty much no plot anywhere on Inchoroi Prime, just a lot of costumes.

At this point, all I have planned fictionwise are the two books to conclude The Second Apocalypse. I have an Atrocity Tale coming out in the Evil is a Matter of Perspective Anthology. I would love to write a stand alone prequel one day, but I'm waiting on the right idea.

Author Q&A / Re: Conclusion of TSA
« on: June 22, 2016, 02:31:04 am »
Fair question. What I've said is that I could die happy having completed The Aspect-Emperor. I say this because this is the narrative and world that I have had blocked out for more than thirty years now. I actually have alternatives beyond this point, several competing story lines.

I think when people set down The Unholy Consult they'll totally get what I'm saying, and until then, it will likely strike them as worrisome.

Too much shit to list, Christ. Part of the problem with having a blog, I'm starting to realize, is the way it documents your creative personality, your focus, or dreadful lack of it...

Um... What was the question?

We don't know much at this stage, and as far as we know, neither does Mimara. Somehow she was able to see some greater power through her Tear of God.

Pretty much any beer. Da gout has been the bane of my existence these past few years.

I've been reduced to cider.
