I think Kellhus gets up above Aurang by warping, not by walking on echoes.
Yeah, I just re-read it. He teleports onto an echo of the Spear-wielder's balcony, then later on repeately teleports up and freefalls, then teleports back up again.
Yeah that's also how I read it. He's able to effectively fly by having such a fast teleport cooldown and nearly unlimited mana.
Gnostic Dunyain class/race combo OP pls nerf

Kellhus-Ajokli couldn't control Kelmomas because of the effect of the No-God outlined above. He could control Chorae because the power of the Gods is not sorcery and as such is unaffected by Chorae.

In regards to the first half of your post, I feel others would explain it better than me. I'm a bit hazy on the details of TGO ending at the moment.
This is interesting because Bakker has said before that chorae rely on negative meaning (or something like that). I guess the Gods can control both negative and positive meaning, but they can't see zero meaning. No-God... Null-God?!?!

If I were Akka I would have many reasons for not wanting a reunion of any kind with Kellhus unless I were armed to the teeth.

Well for one thing they have reason to believe it does work, eventually, what with the blindness to the No-God.

I think one thing modern neuroscience and most religions agree on is that there's a lot more to 'you' than your conscious self, yeah.

I'm pretty sure he asks Mimara about it shortly after discovering she had it.

So speaking of shit that makes no sense... why didn't Achamian get the idea to see Kellhus with the Judging Eye the instant he learned of its existence?
I thought he did?

I'd never heard of that concept until this thread and it still just makes me think of Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny.

That's a pretty specific prediction.

I'm not sure either why everyone is assuming Cnaiür dies at the end. To me his fate is a lot more ambiguous here than it was at the end of TTT, where I figured he was probably dead.

Except Bakker flat out stated that Kellhus' soul cannot be found. The sneaky bastard seems to have discovered an out.
That would be a cool thing to put into a book instead of a reddit AMA. Especially since anything not in them is highly prone to potential retcon. Remember when the Maengaecca were still alive?

It's ambiguous if Cnaiür is simply possessed by Ajokli or if he actually becomes Ajokli (and if so, if that means in some way he was always Ajokli), but either way, he can't see the No-God. He knows it exists but can't find it and interact with it despite recognizing the signs of its passage.

I guess until they've done it, they're operating on theory. At least their makers seem to have predicted some of the attributes of the promised world. That's a good indication they have at least some idea what's up.

What if everything is just one grand rationalisation to justify their hedonistic and genocidal ways?

How could they know from before about a promised world, especially when they have tried the experiment (presumably) other times and they failed? All we have is a forgotten prophecy of a species that has been driven to the edge of annihilation in charge of technology they barely understand.

It is just a projection to justify their depraved nature which has been hollowed out by the unattainable pursuit of the absolute of salvation. There is no salvation, there is no justice, just the gods eating the souls of the living.

I can only assume their understanding of metaphysics has given the progenitors reason to believe that such a thing exists. At least some of their predictions have born out.

Plus, y'know, not much of a theme to the series otherwise.

Would be fitting if it replaces the Outside with one of its own where it's too stuck trying to figure out itself to judge anyone.
