Where are all the Community/Harmon fans at?

Who else has binged the first season of Rick and Morty for the second/third time since it came out (it was a breakfast favorite around my house)?

Wicked. Thanks, james.

My favorite, I think, is Rick Potion #9.

My favourite is the Mr Meeseeks episode - as an overly helpful dork I really to that character.

Probably the most interesting animated comedy of recent years was Xavier: Renegade Angel - n64 era computer graphics, a mutant hippie and some of the most bizarre fucked up humour imaginable. Only cartoon I know of that features plotlines about arab terrorists turning out to be "Baudrillardrian simulacra".

It may be the single greatest stoner tv show ever. Although its so fucked up its more like acid and DMT.

I really should sit down and watch it straight through, like a movie. Without commercials it wouldn't take that long.

I missed a couple of episodes as it ran, but pretty much every one that I have seen is hilarious. I like the Rick Universe episode quite a bit, and the Mr. Meeseeks one is also a favorite.

Got together with some of my buddies that I haven't seen in about a year, started drinking, and then shouted HELLO IM MR MEESEEKS quotes at everyone else at the party. Good times, good times.

For some reason I was skeptical when I first heard about this show, despite enjoying and sometimes outright loving Community. But once I finally checked it out (initially at sciborg's request, I believe) I was converted. It's consistently funny, occasionally heartfelt, and the sci-fi aspects are fucking GREAT. Every single episode introduces at least one (though usually several) sci-fi idea and runs with it, hard. They take basic ideas and get really far into them, more-so than many live-action sci-fi stuff. And the family dynamic is quite good, with a lot of potential for the future if they're willing to break the mold and go in unique directions.

Can't wait for season two...has that been announced at all?

Xavier: Renegade Angel is brilliant in my opinion. One of the most overlooked animated shows of all time in my probably -- though it's understandable why. You almost need to get the "rules" of the show before it works, and every episode requires at least one re-watch I think to seriously grasp all what's going on. The wordplay and interwoven themes are so dense and cryptic that it genuinely requires "work" to actually get it. That probably sounds pretentious as hell but it's my honest opinion on it.

Keep in mind this was made by the same people who did Wonder Shozen, which I've only seen bits of but have heard was pretty fantastic.

Nah you're totally right about that Franco, you really do need to concentrate, or better yet, have ADHD when watching Xavier, its incredibly fast and layered. It only lasted 2 seasons which isn't surprising considering how weird and complex it is. As far as cartoons go I think it will go down in history as an obscure masterpiece.

Another new cartoon that's worth watching is Brickleberry. Nasty nihilistic Family Guy/South Park type humour only really dark and with none of the stupid saccharine happy ending moments that both those show occasionally resort to. Whole things on youtube: http://youtu.be/slt1CTDnD8s

I've heard Brickleberry is really good.

EDIT: It is fairly funny - though I'm not sure if it's trying to say something in deconstruction insomuch as it gets laughs doing so. But Tosh has great lines.

I thought brickleberry was just ok. Some funny parts, but not great.
