I have heard that this series is really something. Way way better than his first trilogy(Night angel). I read that one and almost quit several times, so I am kind of on the fence with this one. Thoughts?

I really enjoyed book two (a lot more than I expected) but struggled with volume one.
Retracing his bloody footprints, the Wizard limped on.

I actually enjoyed Nights Angel Trilogy. Didn't try to be something it wasn't and at least Brent had the bollocks to be original. I found the whole thing with the Skrull levels pretty interesting.

I would probably give it 3.5/5.

Well I liked some aspects of that series, but it was a bit much ninja/superhero to my liking:)
