Could one be both an Aporetic sorcerer and, say, a Gnostic one?

This question is sparked mostly by Aurang's cryptic statement about practicing "other arcana" to walk through Wards.  It, of course, immediately made me think of the Aporos.

I am a warrior of ages, Anasurimbor. . . ages. I have dipped my nimil in a thousand hearts. I have ridden both against and for the No-God in the great wars that authored this wilderness. I have scaled the ramparts of great Golgotterath, watched the hearts of High Kings break for fury. -Cet'ingira

Chapter 11 of TTT:

Quote
“Walking between Wards is easy,” a voice hummed, “when their author practises other arcana.”

Indeed, this is when he comes to Esmenet again to confront Kellhus.

Oh, hmmm, yeah, I think I have been reading that sentence completely wrong all this time...
