Economic Mobility In The United States

Social mobility is something we've talked about at length for years here. This paper suggests that parent's income can partially predicts a child's economic mobility.

I think most interesting is that Men and Women differ extremely in how economically mobile they are, according to this. Men appeared closely bound by their parent's income, while women not as much.
Statistics are fun!
One of the other conditions of possibility.

It was me. :)

I can't remember, what the argument was. I'm not a fan of statistics, as there are always anomalies.
“No. I am your end. Before your eyes I will put your seed to the knife. I will quarter your carcass and feed it to the dogs. Your bones I will grind to dust and cast to the winds. I will strike down those who speak your name or the name of your fathers, until ‘Yursalka’ becomes as meaningless as infant babble. I will blot you out, hunt down your every trace! The track of your life has come to me,

Statistics are great. Using statistical correlations to "show" blacks are inferior is not great.

Statistics can be "ok" when used properly, but unfortunately they are mostly used for propaganda/manipulation.

This has definitely not been my experience with statistics. I'm sure you'd like The Undercover Philosopher, Tao.
