So it's not theoretically possible to teleport yourself with the Psukhe as it's only a crude tool as Akka says?

Eleäzaras’s recollection of the Cishaurim attack on the Scarlet Spires describes the assassins as having "flickered into existence". Some people have speculated that this is a teleportation similar to the Metagnostic version, or that Moënghus transported the Cishaurim assassins into the Scarlet Spires base magically.

So is there a Psûkhe equivalent to Metagnostic teleportation?

If not, did Moënghus innovate anything with the Psûkhe the way Kellhus did with the Gnosis?

Such revelation! Do you really mean that the Inchoroi did not intend the Womb Plague as the ultimate result of their gift? Or, also, that it was truly a gift and not some long-term plan to make them all go crazy? Just a tragic accident... ?

I think he means that at first they tried to give immortality to their "Nonmen allies" (the ones that joined the Inchoroi like Ninjanjin and whoever else) but discovered that it killed women. So they decided to use it on the Nonmen in general because their goal was "the death of birth" like the glossary says.

However, I'm not sure if this satisfactorily answers H's questions from the thread he linked to:

At first blush, it made no sense.  What kind of garbage weapon makes your enemy immortal?  Sure, it extinguished future generations of Nonmen, but if you could kill all the women, why not kill all the men too and be done with it?  I tried to explain it to myself that perhaps the Tekne was incompletely known or was unable to be wielded effectively, but both of those came to me as hollow explanations.

Do people really think these are too spoilery?  Fuck.  Now I'm second guessing all this shit.

It wasn't until someone made a big deal out of it and told everyone that it's a massive spoiler. At first I thought maybe this is just a cool scene, but now I know that it's a big reveal and a turning point in Sorweel's arc.

So the pictures alone are great so long as Bakker doesn't give away the scene on his blog and the people who have read the arc don't comment on them. No offense to anyone who did.

The Orion (UK) paperback and ebook both have the italicized portions. Don't know about the hardcover or the MMP.

The Penguin prints also seem to have them? I can't tell if there is an ebook version directly from Penguin, the ebooks seem to come from Tor and Orion only.

So this seems to me like a Tor problem specifically.
