Question - Did the Nonmnn have counselors and Qirri clinics to help them kick the habit of Qirri?  Would Qirri be considered a "back ally" kind of drug...or will it have more of a high end, "upper class" set of users? My suspicion is the latter.

Silly question, I know...but I'm running out of time. I suspect my remaining 3 questions will get progressively worse. :)

Question - At some point, does Mimara have the opportunity to see her reflection while looking through the judging eye? If so, does she take it? If so, does what reflects back at her bring comfort or dread?

Golf is an excellent idea for this most unholy of Mondays. Madness, may your score be low and the water around the greens be splash free.

Question - Are the Inchoroi playing the long game on this planet because this is their last stop on the their "Reducing Souls Because We Care" galactic tour? Did the Ark really crash land, or is this how it's been done on all the planets they have graciously introduced their particular brand of population control too?

Side note: I am now I'm picturing a foursome of Kellhus, Achamian, Cleric, and Mekeritrig attempting to play golf and pondering how long it takes for one of them try and use sorcery to get the ball in the hole...and then, out of sheer frustration, using a war-cant to blow up the green and all around it entirely...hahaha...fucking golf.

Excellent question, JRControl. I get the sense that the gods are always playing a long game. That said, if they are threatened by a lack of human passions and activities...I suspect they would also be threatened by the lack of humans. Which leads me to my next question -

Question - Once the gods do see/understand (if they have not already) what the consult are trying to do (reduce the number of souls on the planet to 144,000) will they all become more active participants in the war in order to preserve their bests interests? Is "auditioning" Kellhus for godhood a part of that strategy?

Question - Were the Inchoroi running from someone/something when they crashed on Earwa? Did they come across a race they could not beat and the Ark was damaged in their escape? Is there a large cosmic war happening in this universe that we the readers, and the people of Earwa, have not been privy too due to the planet being "special"? If so, how rad would that be...yes, I said "rad"...I'm trying to bring it back. :)

Thanks for the clarity, Madness.

Question - Will Achamian reflect on his life, while close to death, and ponder on how much more he may have accomplished if he had more confidence and ambition...including being able to keep Esmenet?

I am not so bold as to outright predict anything that may come from Bakker - but I am just bold enough to ask questions that imply my predictions. :)

Question - Is the Inverse Fire true damnation, or something the Inchoroi brought upon themselves (and with them to Earwa via the Ark) for their actions/beliefs/questionable life-style choices? It's believed (known?) that sorcery leads to damnation but is it Inverse Fire damnation, or a completely different flavor of damnation entirely? Do the Inchoroi truly have the only real window into what damnation looks like...in the middle of their ship that they traveled from world to world on? This is outside of Kellhus and his, what I am interpreting as, taste of godhood...or "grasping the absolute" in Dunyain speak.

Hello All,

Reading the site for years - first time posting - will do most anything to get an early copy of TGO. First, my thanks to everyone who has posted their thoughts and theories on the series thus far. They have been quite enjoyable to read and ponder as we have waited for the additional books to be published - the slog of slogs indeed.  My thanks to all for making the slog informative and enjoyable.

My first question (my apologies if someone has already posted this and I didn't see it) - Has Kellhus grasped, or on the verge of grasping, the absolute?  Does the "there is a head on a pole behind you" scene with Kellhus seem like he was being sized up by the a (the?) god? Was this god taking stock of an enemy...or was it an invitation to join him and partake of things a god partakes of? The god was clearly in control, but it seems Kellhus was witness to a perspective of the outside not many (if any) other human has been witness to. Is this what grasping the absolute looks like?
