Themerchant's right. Who needs a Dune movie? They already made a great adaptation anyway. It's this movie called "Star Wars". It gets rid of all the boring political bullshit and character drama, and also cuts out 90% of the worldbuilding -- and let's be honest, if there's one thing about Dune that just about everybody can agree on, it's how fucking shitty the worldbuilding is, am I right?

Built a big straw-man there.

Just read the book. No need for the movie. It's tautology.

I've only seen the original star wars, the phantom menace then some of the other 2. No idea how many new ones there are now. The Phatom menace came out when i was in my 20's.

It's polarised the readership, roughly same amount of folk gave it 1/2 stars as 4/5, in the UK amazon it has 53% 5 stars and has a few 1 and 2 as well but not many as near.

The Plan seemed to be. Besiege the Arc, take the intrinsic gate and head up to the golden room (for Serwe and the ordeal)

Kellhus plan was to use Ajokli's powers (we see him performing markless sorcery during the last whelming) to some end. We don't find out what the end was because inside the Golden Room Ajokli is able to possess Kellhus, his plan seemed to be use Kellhus to get into the world of living to feed and perhaps escape the other gods.

Consult plan was to grab kellhus and chuck him in the sarcophagus.

Kellhus plan once he dominated the arc is the big mystery still.

Doesn't quality as a "quote" being just a historical statement, more just quoting someone, but in the spirit of the season ...

Quote
“For preventing disorders arising in several places within this jurisdiction, by reason of some still observing such festivals as were superstitiously kept in other countries, to the great dishonor of God and offence of others, it is therefore ordered by this Court and the authority thereof, that whosoever shall be found observing any such day as Christmas or the like, either by forbearing of labor, feasting, or any other way, upon such accountants as aforesaid, every person so offending shall pay of every such offence five shillings, as a fine to the county.”

- Massachusetts Bay Colony, 1659.

I used to paint warhammer models when i was younger, the one abiding memory i have is brushes with fewer hairs being more expensive.

I used white and black primer depending on the chapter i was painting. Mostly 40k

Well, it more depends on what those hairs are made from than how many there are.  Kolinsky sable brushes will be expensive no matter what.  Synthetic brushes are a great deal cheaper.  Of course, real sable ones are "better" but not necessarily in proportion to their cost.  Not to mention, any metallic paints will destroy real sable brushes.

Unless you are really good and really know what you are doing, expensive brushes are nearly a complete waste of money.

it was ones for doing eyes. this was also in the early 1990's.

Another side of the problem is Qirri. It seems to impart this "i'm one with everything feeling", Serwa gets it and wonders if this is like what it is to be father, before  chorae from nowhere wrecks that, and she finds out it is just like father.
