I read the 10 Erikson books and two of Esslemont. Esslemont did not impress me much though. I tried to read his books inbetween Erikson (as suggested by the malazan nerds ;D) but I just gave up on the second one. It almost ruined my malazan experience and it was not worth it.

I thought the series was great, but I spent so long slogging through it I kept forgetting stuff along the way, so I felt I did not really get that much out of it that I should have.

I should re read it though, but that will not happen :)  It is just too much.

I am currently re reading TSA for the first time, and it is such an amazing ride!  The first time I read it back in 2013 i was not really up for the challenge. It was my third fantasy series ever(GRRM and Tolkien was the first two) and I was also not used to reading English books, so I struggled to say the least.

But now... Every sentence is a feast! I am beginning to understand why this site has such a high nerd level ;D  It is truly special in every way. It trumps malazan by far IMO.

Never really cared for much of Esselmont's stuff either. But, if you don't pick up Dancer's Lament then you're missing out big time. Who doesn't want to know how the Malazan Empire came into being? It's fast, fool of action. Not the slow moral drag of his earlier works. I don't even want to touch Kirkhanas Trilogy (sp). But, when he gets around to the Toblaiki Trilogy, I'm all in. Trust give Dancer's Lament a go, you'll love it.

I need a serious Malazan break, so I am not going to read anything Malazanish in the near future. I have heard lots of good stuff about Dancer`s lament though, so I might pick it up later on.

Royce, I can't believe you missed this story :)

Thanks Wilshire. Yeah, I am not sure how that happened either:).  When is it recommended to read this story?  I have not read TSA in almost 3 years so I remember very little of it.

I am reading through TSA again, and I did not read this the first time. I somehow missed it.

Is there any way to get this on pdf so I can transfer it to my kindle?

Any of you guys have Netflix?  I am hearing good things about The OA, so we'll probably check it out soon.  We were going to try out the first episode the other day, but the kids were home and the "parental guide" said in no uncertain terms that wasn't a good idea, haha.

This was a weird show. It started pretty good with a decent mystery plot, but it started going downhill at about ep 4 (IIRC).

That said, the ending of the final episode makes it all worth it. It was so ridiculous I could hardly believe what I was seeing. I swear my eyes almost fell out watching the last five minutes.

It might be the most jaw droppingly stupid thing ever filmed. Sorry for being so judgemental, but honestly it was mindblowingly ridiculous.

You playing in Europe or America? I might be able to swap regions, i did during the open beta for queue times.

I've never played FPS before, not really a gamer, but it is good fun, loads of heroes etc..

I play the skater dude her. Tank shield guy. As no one else goes support or tank :)

I am playing in Europe. I don`t have the time to play that much, but a couple of hours here and there:)  I love playing Lucio/Hanzo/Reaper.

Let me know if you want to hook up, I only know one dude who is playing.

Lol - I wish I had the motivation/time/willingness. I have a lot of respect for what Blizzard does.

Blizzard always brings quality heroine to the table. Guaranteed to be addicted big time.
Amazing how Overwatch has captivated such a huge range of both the FPS professionals and the FPS shunners (including myself). It's a really awesome, hyper-polished game. Can't wait for new heroes and maps.

Also, Bastion for the win.

My most satisfying moments so far has been to snipe that Bastion of the map:)

I tried looking for you but there's a million Fiddlers as well! I have the dude from the Command & Conquer box as my avatar.

I haven't played ESO but you might want to look into Oblivion modding, the game has come a long way in 10 years:

Haha yeah I think I found you dude. ATM I am mostly running around shooting in CS GO.

Anyone here who plays Elder Scrolls online?  I can`t seem to decide whether is a good idea or not......I loved playing Oblivion back in the day, so this game has a strong nostalgic pull on me.

Add me on steam: Fiddler

There are many people called Bolivar on steam dude!  Which Bolivar are you?

This is not at all surprising. Psychology has always been more about scientism then actual science.

To borrow a sentence from Wolfgang Pauli: It is not even wrong!

It took me a long time to get into Bowie. I did not really like pop music in my teens and twenties, so to me Bowie was just this weird druggy dressed up pop character.

Then I got introduced to his work from the seventies(while on drugs of course) and it changed my whole outlook on music. I mean "ziggy stardust", "hunky dory" and "The man who sold the world" are absolutely amazing albums. "Hunky dory" might be my favorite album of all time.

What about one sentence?

When I withdrew my lips from his I studied my grandfathers face with confusion as he withdrew the knife from my heart.
