Big Parade - The Lumineers

It's not that I don't think their music is bad, it's just...the hipsters have sort of ruined them for me lol  Any time I hear "Yeah!" sung in a chorus or bongos in informal music it brings to mind a bunch of hipsters sitting at panera looking up the least processed form of clothing they can wear to show off on instagram....

That being said, that actually is a pretty good song lol

Lykke Li lyrics are pretty much how my prayers would go:

Lykke Li - No Rest For The Wicked

"If one heart can mend another
Only then can we begin
So won't you hold on a little longer
Don't let them get away"

Lykke Li - Gunshot

"And the shot goes through my head and back
Gunshot, I can't take it back

Lay me down in Your ocean
Carry me and my burden
I was dreaming about You honey
I was hoping You'd save me"

Reading though this thread makes me feel music-stupid, i know hardly any of these things :( slipping into oldfoggliness

HEY!  does anybody here do that thing were u can combine music and voices and make it have a beat and sound like technology?  because if ur bored and feel disposed, i would love to hear Sarl from Bakker's audiobooks set to music saying "I told u Kiampus!" and "the slog of slogs boys!" and maybe Kosoter growling now and then

or any of their other covers. They do some brilliant stuff.
