You're one off. Number 12 are listed as sold on ebay (only 11 listings are shown in the sale history, but one of those listing had 2 books).

This newest one, with buy now at $111 (btw, he should have put it at 144.00), is number 13.

Is anyone here still bidding on these? Bid wars seem to have stopped, at least up front. Only a couple weeks out, maybe the novelty of getting it early has started to ware off.

I was just counting based on the links in the thread? I'm not some eBay-whiz as you seem to be ;).

So... twelve is thirteen?

I wish I had known about this thread earlier.  I WAAAAY overpaid for an ARC paid for expedited shipping.  I got it yesterday, took a half day at work and feel like crap this morning but I cant say it wasn't worth it.  My first reread starts in my lunch break today.

This one is reasonably priced but I don't think it is worth it any longer, by the time it arrives the book will be out in about two weeks.

Yeah, I thought about buying one too but having never bought anything from eBay I couldn't count on the book reaching me before August. I've had things delivered for me before where 'two weeks' became two months. Same thing applies for all the giveaways.

Maybe if this was the original TUC I would have paid a minor fortune to have it arrive in less than a week (assuming that it's possible with eBay). But I feel like reading TGO and not finishing the story would be worse than not reading it at all.

Waiting for the next installment comes with the territory of reading series that aren't finished yet. Now, waiting for howevermany years for TGO/TUC has made me question reading series that aren't finished/published, but if you've already started... whats the point of stopping midway through? If you've read up through WLW, then you're bound to have unanswered questions. TGO must offer some solace, right?

Yeah.  Planned my whole day around it.  Picked up food so I wouldn't have to cook or do dishes.  Told my wife I'd disappear until I finished.  I think I slept at 1am.

GREAT novel.  Maybe the best in the series in terms of reread-ability although Darkness that Comes Before has a special place in my heart.

$30 "buy it now".
You'll probably get it delivered before the official release if you buy it before the weekend. Might save you a day or two.

Also, missed a link for someone trying to sell an arc for $120 - $200. I didn't post it as it was ridiculous, and no one bid on it anyway.

So, technically, 15 total copies went up for sale on ebay so far.
