MSJ. The "S" stands for "spoiler" .(click to show/hide)
Mod Edit: Added spoiler tags upon request.
If it is made into TV, I pray it doesn't go as badly as Sword of Truth/Legend of the Seeker.Sword of Truth is a horrible book series from the first place
If it does there may be a Third Apocalypse
Mandati bot.Lol.
Ah, InspiroBot. Because it's important for humans to move on from contemporary regret.
I thought Men regret and nonmen forget, whilst sranc have all the fun?
Have to remix it for AI.
Try harder please, InspiroBot.
Link is down...You have a curse related to anything Lawrence.
Dora Bed, when you're done I highly recommend ICE's new trilogy, starti g with Dancer's Lament. Which tells how the Malazn Empire came into being and how Shadowthrone and Cotillion met. The 1st book was great and I was never a huge fan of ICE. But, his writing is so much better in this series than anything else I've read of his. I loved the 1st book as much or more than any of his Malazan books. Who h there was I few I really enjoyed, but others I read just because I rarely quit on a book. Look into them after your done.MSJ's autocorrection strikes back.
Well, I'm still interested, but I'm going a bit slower now. Can't wait for the "pay off" in Darujhistan.Weird. I remember GotM being pretty fast paced. Anyway, Deadhouse Gates is the real deal. Just wait for it. ( Emojis are relevant. ) .
Just finished TTT today and am really looking forward to starting the Judging Eye ASAP. I've got a few questions for which I don't see any answer around here. Some of them are not specifically related to the book.Sompas died, yes. The rest of your questions gets answered later in the series.
I think I missed the detail, but did Sompas perish after his encouter with Cnaiur and the Skin-Spies?
What exactly is the No-God? I know Kellhus asks his dad that question, but do we ever get a concrete answer. Is it a physical being or is it a concept?
As a follow up, are the Gods worshiped by the Inrithi physical beings that can be summoned like the Ciphrang? Do Gods play an active part in this universe like the Valar in Tolkien's work or the Elder Gods in Malazan or are they just abstract points of worship?
The thing is is as Wilshire hit the nail on the head. If you like these books, you like tying together the mysteries and how things work in the world. Another nail on the head, I doubt we'll get a whole lot of clarity on that front.Lmao. Though, I still don't understand how could anyone be angry from TUC's ending but, hilarious post, MSJ
I'm not a smart dude. I don't give a rat's ass about Blind Brain Theory and what not. Crash Space....just don't give a shit. I really don't. And, i won't fake like I know what I'm talking about when it comes to it, either. The thing is, is Bakker will have missed the $$$'s If he would just give a little resolution. I know he's trying to push his theories and such, but man, this series would be an all time great if he gave us that. He's missing out fellows, not us.
I can deal with it. I see, somewhat, what he is trying to do. I didn't have a bossy and throw the book at the end of TUC, matter of fact I think it took me a few days to even post anything. I needed to process what I just read. Usually, I don't have to do that with a book. So, it could be a good thing. Its all in hiw you digest it. Being a philosophy geek or just a run of the mill fantasy guy, I don't think makes much of a difference processing the end of this book.
This is interesting - I took Jame's post entertainingly, but maybe I don't understand it - but then again, when he referenced the smarties in our forum, I know he wasn't talking about me.Hey, I didn't nail anybody!
I'm with ya, Beard - our "attacks" are misconstrued as other than love
I got nailed for calling the Witches ( in Earwa ) the Bitches - all was meant as humor, making a little fun of the critics of PON for it's treatment of women ... anyways, didn't go over well, LOL! But I regret it, that was the last we've heard from one of my favorite posters, hope they know I was just having fun with them ( not intended at their expense ).
The easy answer is yes. But, myself, I think those quotes on the No-God and what the gods can and cannot see, to be a red herring.No.
It could easily be that by some other means the Gods (100) cease to exist. "Kellhus is dead but not done." He could rewrite the Outside or someone else for that matter. So, no, I don't believe Earwa to be doomed. As others have said, if the 3rd series is just the details of the NG winning and the end of civilization, the story would have been better to just have been done at TUC.
Recently I've been putting tiem into Factorio. What a great game.Reporting this inappropriate comment to the admins.
Went through Fortresscraft: Evolved twice with a friend on our own server
Been about a year but we also used to play heavily modded minecraft, good times.
I got bored somewhere near the middle of Dark Souls 3. Honestly, I got bored of the combat. After defeating Dancer way to early for the lulz, and killing the mercenary guy, I kind of petered out.
Same deal with Witcher 3.
Funny thing with DS3 though, now other action-adventure games tend to underwhelm compared to how polished DS3 mechanics are. Sigh.
Looking forward to Shadow of War and AC:O, if I ever get around to them.
edit: oh and starcraft. I love starcraft.
Lmao. InspiroBot loves Lovecraft?
Wow, InspiroBot. I almost spit my tea out on my laptop...
