Νew member in the forum here and I was dying to share my music experience with u. All this time that I was reading the Aspect Emperor books two groups were haunting my brain. They literally became my Bakker OST.
The first albums by Mortiis.
Especially this song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSGkfMjQT5w

and mostly Savior Machine. An atmospheric metal band heavily influenced by holy scriptures, the Apocalypse etc. There are whole parts that felt like they were written for Earwa. Even the singer is like a Nonman/Cishaurim mix

"In the star that falls from heaven Is the key that is given to thee
To the shaft of the rising abyss and eternity...
The he opened the bottomless pit
And the smoke and the flame arise
And the sun and air were darkened by eternal night..."

That definitely sounds like it would fit, though I can't say I've ever listened to a metal band can thought it was atmospheric lol.
One of the other conditions of possibility.

Isnt this ominous and atmospheric without being too heavy? The lyrics once again remind me of Bakker. Kellhus etv. Penetrating illusions...

Damn what's with those earrings? Looks heavy. Also, it's not my personal prefered cup o'tea of music, but respect to that guitarist for rocking a skullet and not being ashamed of it.

I've been listening to the Dark Souls 3 soundtrack a lot.

Listening to this most excellent song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdy6dONsbQ0

Last thing I listened to was Blackpink's new song. Yeah, I am hardcore in my music taste.
“The thoughts of all men arise from the darkness. If you are the movement of your soul, and the cause of that movement precedes you, then how could you ever call your thoughts your own? How could you be anything other than a slave to the darkness that comes before?”

The English prog group Big Big Train has a new CD coming out on May 17th. Here's a very nice track titled "Alive". Perfect music for 5pm on Fridays. (Also a good substitute for coffee for 7am on Mondays.)

Pallas - "The Last Angel"

A revival of '70s prog, complete with pipe organ, declamatory vocals, and a ravishing coda featuring two sopranos.

Madness primed me to:

Magnolia Eletric Co. - Last Three Human Words

And YouTube algorthim read my soul and hit me with:

Songs: Ohia - Nobody Tries That Hard Anymore
I am a warrior of ages, Anasurimbor. . . ages. I have dipped my nimil in a thousand hearts. I have ridden both against and for the No-God in the great wars that authored this wilderness. I have scaled the ramparts of great Golgotterath, watched the hearts of High Kings break for fury. -Cet'ingira

More from Big Big Train. A live performance of "Swan Hunter", featuring a five piece brass band. Understated English nostalgia:

"Call me up, boy/Sit ye down by the fireside/Spend some time/All the pride, boy/And the tears/Tears enough to fill the Tyne."
