I don't know why this didn't occur to me before, but I just went back and re-read the last few pages of TUC and the moment when Mimara saw "Kellhus" at the end. The line "It does not matter. The Judging Eye is open."

This is after Kel was put into the carapace. This is after resumption. Whatever powers The Judging Eye isn't blinded by the No-God. What the hell does that mean? Is it a power separate from "the hundred"? Is it truly powered by the "God of Gods"?

Edit: This almost seems to contradict a previous scene from Kel's POV where Mimara doesn't seem to see him at first (until presumably the Judging Eye closes). I'm not sure what to make of it to be honest.

[EDIT Madness: Title.]

Would The Judging Eye be able to see Kelmomas? If he is invisible to the gods, and the Judging Eye is (I think?) a manifestation of the gods or one god or the god of gods, then would he be invisible to it?
The is a scene in TUC where it does. It sees the whirlwind.

I'm trying to find this scene. I went back and re-read the scene where Mimara first appears at the Umbilicus and there is a scene (though it's from Kel's POV) and it mentions that she seems not to see him at first, seems to look through him, and then she slowly smiles as if he suddenly appears (maybe the Judging Eye closing?). So I think that answers my question. If you happen to find the scene where she sees the whirlwind when looking at him I'd be interested. Thanks.

I kind of feel the same way. The sudden transformation into The White Luck Warrior was jarring and confusing to me, especially because the mechanics of the WLW are never clearly explained. The first WLW appeared in a whole sequence of events with draining a human and being "birthed", but then he (died?) in Momemn and suddenly was able to non-corporeally transfer to Sorweel?
