Title: The Grim Tidings Podcast
Post by: Madness on April 29, 2016, 02:11:56 pm
Lots of cool stuff but the Joe Abercrombie Part I (http://thegrimtidingspodcast.podbean.com/e/interview-with-joe-abercrombie-part-1/)/Part 2 (http://thegrimtidingspodcast.podbean.com/e/interview-with-joe-abercrombie-part-2/) is great.

Finally listening to the ever-interesting Erikson on the GT Podcast.

Wow. What a fucking lucky dude. After Gardens of the Moon was published and he was working on Deadhouse Gates, his publishers had first rights for refusal on book two. Another publisher tried to snag Erikson at a convention and his original publisher matched the competitor - on a nine year salary, four paychecks a year, supposing that Erikson would write a book a year.

"Basically, I had nothing to do but write."

Didn't they do one on the books? I looked and couldn't find it if they did.

They're allegedly doing one with Bakker at the end of the month? Or before the release of TGO? I don't know? Rumoured to be happening.

In their most recent podcast for Evil Is, I think they said July before the release

Oh nice. I guess perhaps I'll have to listen to that one now (though, I had already listened to their episode with GdM Adrian).

Listened to erikson and Abercrombie as well. Abercrombie was great, and any fan of Erikson should listen to his podcast.

Erikson's a very interesting fella. Wish authors did more of these podcasts but I suppose they'd run out of interesting things to say after a while.

Hyped for Bakkercast, I've searched for interviews and such before but actual audio/video is rare enough. Gonna listen to Joe's now.

Have you checked out this collection of interviews/articles (http://second-apocalypse.com/index.php?topic=34.0), Doubt?

Also, what did you think of Abercrombie's?

EDIT: There is also a sticky thread in each subforum for Links to Fan Resources (http://www.second-apocalypse.com/index.php?topic=1494.0), some of the links might be outdated (and people are welcome to let me know if they are :) ).
