Last Purchases of the year:

Robert V.S Redick: The River of Shadows - New softback.
£2.00
Neal Asher: The Technician - New softback.
£2.00
Neil Gaiman: American Gods - New Softback.

All from a new £1/£2 bookstore that has opened nearby - huge bookstore with virtually nothing else SFF - will keep checking it though as I think they get random stock - seemed to be a lot of 1 or 2 of a book.

Vernor Vinge: A Fire Upon the Deep - New Softback. This is one of the SF Masterworks series which I have been collecting (alongside the Fantasy Masterworks) there are a couple of different cover styles for the different Masterworks runs so at the moment jusr more focused on picking them up and then I'll go for specific books once I have a lot more. I like the cover art on this one: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/28409581-a-fire-upon-the-deep
£9.99 from Waterstones.

I need new copies of TJE and WLW. Cover ripped off of one of them, and the other is in sorry shape. I blame Overlooks' poor craftsmanship. Oh, can you check your TJE/WLW for me? Let me know if its still first edition and not price-clipped? (Aka, number line on copyright page goes 1 through 10 in some order, and price tag on dustjacket and/or barcode is listed as full price rather than having it marked through).

Hello All!

Well I have not been around for a while and will not be around until I have completed TUC.

It arrived at my local Waterstones (on order) yesterday and I will be collecting from store today, secluding myself away on pain of spoilers for now and then hopefully in the next week or so I will stop by in a more meaningful way. Super excited to be reading TUC!

Will post all of my other purchases and reads (not many) and update the year long curated read thread - although I am going to finish TUC before I set foot upon this Ground.

Hope to speak to you all soon! :) Definitely time for a Cast or at least a late night Skype chat!

Heh, Chris Evans: A Darkness Forges in Fire . Read this when it first came out. Thinking back, it was an interesting book with some unique ideas, though maybe not the most well written book. Never grabbed the sequel.
