Just finished Enderal, had to come by and share about it.

If you don't know about Enderal, it's a total conversion Skyrim mod that has a completely different story, world, landscape, mechanics, lore, etc. from the original game. The mod developers (SureAi) describe it as a "dark, psychological story with believable characters". I am convinced that at least one of the devs is a TSA fan. Let me give you a brief overview of the story:

As you show up to the continent of Enderal, you start to have vivid nightmares of an ancient apocalypse that happened thousands of years ago. There is an order that believes that these nightmares are a clue to help them with the impending apocalypse, which most people believe is not going to happen. A secret group of beings called "The High Ones" is said to behind these apocalyptic event.

Just commenting to declare that I have joined the slog! Just started today, I'll be caught up before chapter 6's discussion. I was confused about a few details in my first read-through, so nitpicking through every word of every book with the finest toothed comb imaginable sounds like a blast honestly. so I'm excited to join you all. IT'S GONNA BE A REAAAAAAALLL CHOPPER! EH, KIAMPAS?! KIAMPAS?

Hello all. It's been a while since I've been actually active (I occasionally pop on just because I have y'all bookmarked) but I recently convinced someone to start PoN and it got the nostalgia goin', so I decided it's finally time to do my first reread. I only finished TUC last summer, but I'm an impatient man you see. So I'm looking for advice for my second run-through. Is there something I should keep an eye out for? Or a certain perspective I should have going in? I know a lot of you have read through TSA more times than I could in a decade, so what has made a reread more interesting? Or should I try and forget everything I know about Earwa and keep a clean slate. Let me know your thoughts and experiences!

great example, Wilshire, I'm a big Dishonored fan. I also find myself quicksaving in Skyrim or Fallout before I do anything interesting. Speech skill checks, fights, decisions, big purchases, etc. There's no way to regret anything in those games. What's the point of role-playing if you can't make mistakes? Especially in KC:D where you can fuck up literally anything. Trying to sharpen your sword? Aww you sharpened at the wrong angle and fucked the sword into oblivion and back. Makes me cautious of everything I do. And I feel like if I lived in Medieval Europe, that's what I would be like. Scared out of my mind about everything I do because I'll probably get myself killed. Immersion through fear, I love it!

Also, update on Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I'm about 12 hours in now. Great Old-school style RPG. The hud and UI look right out of Oblivion. Seems fairly historically accurate (although I'm no expert on 1400s Bohemia) So far loving it, very story-based, with good characters, writing, and choice. It's buggy as all hell right now, but hopefully that'll get patched. Don't even try to off-road with your horse, you'll just break shit. The save system is frustrating (sleep or drink a certain alcoholic beverage to save) but it's a welcome frustration, makes me more wary to enter battle with multiple or well armed foes. All in all I think it's a good game so far, I recommend it to any harcore RPGers. KC:D definitely does not hold your hand, but it's balanced.

Anybody playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance yet? I don't have a huge amount of time on my hands nowadays, but if this game lives up to the hype I will play the shit out of it. Let me know what you think of it so far!

The equalization of students kinda sucks both ways. There's people like you who were held back from their potential, and there are kids that are more intellectually challenged (not just talking about mental illness, or even ADHD, etc.) who have a harder time processing information and need more time or energy to learn a given subject. The way we put all students on an equal playing field hurts both sides, only benefitting the less and less common 'average' student. The question is how students can be split up by a means other than just age, without making the 'lesser' students be forgotten or branded as "stupid", etc. That's my personal opinion. You may notice I often comment on the suckage of modern american or world culture, yet almost never actually have a solution  ;D
