Not sure if there are any fans here, but the new Joanna Newsom album (Divers) is really, really good.  Took a bit for me to re-calibrate to her, but definitely enjoying it a lot now.

Bach. Because I should really, really get down to marking my students' mock exams. They've been asking for the results for a week now (the exam was exactly 10 days ago, but as everyone in the profession knows, students always assume that teachers have no life of their own and their idea of free time is alternatively writing and marking their students' tests and homework.)

I'm a real big fan of classical/baroque music. I recently have gotten my nephew hooked on the "Classical Kids" series of CDs.

You forgot thinking of ways to make students miserable.
Madness, I'm pretty sure I have some Classical Kids albums on my ipod, it might even be Bach. Love Bach.

If you would want to hear some neo-classical, I highly recomend Max Richter's work, coming from a real classical listening pedigree, I would start with Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons.

The Blue Notebooks is also very, very good.

Richter is one of my favs.  24 Postcards in Full Color and Memoryhouse are fantastic.

Yeah, 24 Postcards is also really good, but appreciate his slightly longer form in his other works.  I heard Memoryhouse after Blue Notebooks, so I feel like the latter is basically an improvement on the former, for the most part.
