A little bit. He seems to be a hack to be frank. I haven't seen anything where he comes with something concrete and measurable, although of course I find his mission noble. Feel free to prove me wrong if you know any article referring to actually useful research done by him and his group.

Also, I was reminded yesterday that Kurzweil was tapped to head Google's Calico (https://www.calicolabs.com/) a number of years ago. I even wrote an article about it during my stint as a student journalist at uni.
