The Unholy Consult / Re: Mimara..The Tapestry
« on: July 24, 2017, 08:26:04 am »
First, I agree with you and think Kellhus knew Mimara had the JE (and in labor) and want her at Golgotterath. Why? I don't know, maybe as plan B if the Kellhus baby theory is right.

Second, if the tapestry is ancient, well, it has lots of implications that I can't fathom properly till I have digested the reading - I'm still in WFT shock.
If it's new that IMHO supports that Kellhus is behind every step Mimara has taken since she left Andiamine Heights.
And for me in any case that implies that Kellhus isn't gone for good.

My vote is for Kellhus. And if not him the combo Akka&Mim.
It would be a big surprise if the Dunsult wins, but who knows, we are in the fucking darkness (that comes before).

Serwa could be dead, but I bet that she is going to be more "hunger" than "fodder".
Remember that Mimara saw her like a ciphrang.

Is it possible that operates with Kellhus some kind of "ascendancy" as in the Malaz saga of Erikson?
I don't know if there is a real paral·lelism but to me Kellhus is so Kellanved (using a malazan analogy) to be (really) dead by a childish intervention.

The Unholy Consult / Re: [TUC Spoilers] Sorweel
« on: July 23, 2017, 10:30:28 am »
Nah, I hated the way Sorweel lost his agency and his life. Was really hoping he would continue to mature and become a Nau Cayuti type hero, shoulder to shoulder with Serwe. :(

I feel pretty much the same and honestly I don't think that he (unlike Kellhus and Cnaiur) will play an afterlife role in the next book.

I've just finished the book and I totally agree that my first thought about it is a great WTF, hahaha. I expected some kind of conclusion with this book so I feel fucked as the ordealmen are. The first thing I will do is reading it again to grasp the absolute of it.

The big question for me is "what now?". I hope that all other burning questions that remain unanswered (and obviously are bothering me too) will have some kind of explanation in the future books, but my main concern is what is going to happen next.
So I can only wonder how much we will have to wait with this pain in our asses.

General Misc. / Re: [TV Spoilers] Game of Thrones (S7)

I think/hope/pray that these last seasons are just fan fiction. Honestly the turn of events is greatly disappointing for my inchoroi tastes. I rather prefer that Martin doesn't end the series, than the crappy happy ending that HBO is clearly preparing for us.

In my job I try a pseudodunyain train of thought and it usually works. So the saga has improved my daily life, lol.

As a fan/junkie of historic essays I totally agree with your point.

All writed historic source is biased (even the modern ones) and obviously historic remains (ruins, artifacts et alia) not always are easy to comprehend. In Ëarwa happens the same for sure - in fact through the series things that we don't have like the memory of immortal beings (Nonmen) or "movies" from distant past like the Mandati dreams are not longer sure. Verily ignorance is strenght - lol.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

Mythology (in general) is since childhood one of my major interests (another is History), Madness. I still remember with awe the discovery of all the good old stuff about the Olimpic Gods and later all the Indo-european mythos - thanks mainly to Frazer and Dumezil.

Sure it's going to be like a "great ordeal" to me.  ;D
But due to my job (and family issues, hahaha) I have an almost masochistic level of patience.
Anyway, pray for me to the God of Gods.

No copies of TUC in Mallorca (Spain), obviously.
And my Amazon (hardcover) purchase delayed to Augut 11th - fuck, fuck, fuck. :-\

As you may know, if you're not fixed on a hardcover edition, you can get the UK TPB or the ebook. That's how I got my fix, anyway.

y bienvenido

Gracias por la bienvenida. ;)

I know, but I have all my other Second Apocalypse books in hardcover and being some kind of paper zaudunyani (curse the ebook blasphemers), I'm pretty fucked, hahaha.

Hello, everyone. New guy in the House (Primordial).

I see lot of good stuff here, I'll be busy reading/lurking the old and new topics, lol.

I have just finished my last reread of the whole saga (the slog of slogs, boys) so I'm waiting for TUC like a Skin Eater his dose of qirri.
