Title: [TGO SPOILERS] Nonmen Schools.

Where there any specialist schools among the Quya? For example, a school focused on creating magically infused objects and weapons?

The Quya are primarily artisans. In many ways, their familial and feudal bonds predominate to such an extent that lateral social relations are rarely institutionalized as they are among Men. 'Quyan Schools' can only really refer overlapping spheres of cooperation and concern. You could say they're all Wizards, only so long lived as to become Schools unto themselves.

Then, when the nonmen started teaching Men and then men formed their own schools, where those school specialized in obvious ways?

Aside, that would make whatever Seswatha gave the Mandate a nearly bastardized version of the Gnosis, paling in comparison to the true school of the North. So much knowledge lost.

As I recall correctly, there were twelve original Gnostic schools in Sauglish. I'll have to look it up later but we know of the Sohonc, Mengaecca, and the Mihtrulic, so far - aside anything that's brought up in the ARC - but only that the Sohonc and Mihtrulic schools were patronized by specific Siqu. The Mengaecca was founded by the Siqu of the Sohonc's first and greatest human student? Names... when I look at the books tomorrow and browse :).
