First-time visitor to this thread, so I've got a lot.
Muse seems incredibly on-topic with Absolution. Really good, fairly deep. Their other albums are great too, but Absolution is really on-point. It's the most mainstream thing I've ever encountered that tries to address the same same topics as Bakker's books.
Lacuna Coil is pretty engaging. Dark Adrenaline is really fun, Broken Crown Halo is good but nothing to get excited about.
Affiance is really heavy-handed trying to address the same themes as Bakker, but at least they have a good baseline. The Campaign is a solid album.
(And then because I'm new to the thread, I'm always listening to Panic! At the Disco, who are always relevant to some degree.)
