I can't remember the details of the Inchies ship ultra well. But I've just recently thought of it as being, as it was organic, rather like a whale and BAM...is there a hitchhikers guide to the galaxy reference in the PON series?
Oh. Oh, dear God. When the whale was falling...the ground was Earwa! Earwa was the whale's friend!
Where's the bowl of petunias?(Seriously though: one of the enduring mysteries is... why did the spaceship CRASH? I also always thought the 'horns' were more like the vaguely phallic protrusion from HR Giger's derelict spaceship in Alien.)
They most likely are. In truth there's a Space Jockey amidst all those bones Seswatha and Nayu scuttled through.
The moivie prometheus is supposed to reveal more light on that space jockey (how'd it get a name like that, anyway?)My hypothesis (click to show/hide)There seems to be some sort of different body horror going on in that movie and I suspect it's actually human, utterly distorted - perhaps some last ditch attempt to capture the last alien chest burster? But I'm not gunna see the movie, don't like scary movies. Besides, why pay when their for free at 6?Anyway, I think the spaceship crashes because all the grafting/editing eventually fucks up your fitness detectors. Or hey, even just plain incompetence.
The False Sun implies its a city ripped from the surface of another planet (probably inchie homeworld).
Does it? Damn, that reference went right past me! Cool, though!
Specifically, this bit:QuoteSince the Shamans, they had called and Reality had answered, a brother, a deceiver, an assassin. But there was another way, one without the treacherous hooks of meaning, one built up out of the granules of existence, the way termites raise their multiform wattle. A power that could be crafted and shaped, that could be applied to its own proliferation, and so accelerate, radiating out across the span of need and desire. A power that could uproot cities and hurl them across the Void.

Quote from: Callan S.The moivie prometheus is supposed to reveal more light on that space jockey (how'd it get a name like that, anyway?)From my understanding, the name came simply during the filming of the movie, while Giger himself airbrushed the set. They didn't have a name for the pilot model, so people just slapped the name on. It stuck.
