I do not like the devil's chirp very much, not at all, not at all much really not good badly. I wish he would stop. When I see those things on the side of 3 lb brain, I cringe. Too harsh?
-
I think of those ultra Goth kids on South Park who were clearly trying too hard.
Just slip from in-group to out-group on this one, and you can laugh instead of cringe.
;)

You do not like green eggs and spam?
I think his inner cynic has found an outlet in it.
Dr Jekyll and Mr Snide.
(Okay, to explain that since I'm never like understandable apparently: see it's like saying someone has two persona's, but since one is just cynical, I say Snide instead of Hyde, also because they rhyme! This is something my tribe calls 'humour'! And green eggs and spam - well if the OP's post doesn't remind you of the line about not liking green eggs and ham, I'm surprised! And again we call the twitter spam, because it rhymes with ham and that's the original Dr Seuss line! And it gives shit to twitter! And see how painful it is when I have to explain what is pretty straight forward stuff I write? :o )

Lol.

Also - Lol. I got the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Snide but I actually would have dismissed the green eggs and spam as indecipherable before the explanation; it needed that (implicit/explicit - question of style?) reference to MG - at least for me.
And communicative clarity shouldn't be painful for that clarity.
EDIT:
Post fail.

I happen to enjoy Bakker's twitter - though I do think he might attract that couple more people to the fandom, if he threw in some blurbs about his writing process/updates (even nothing is an update), and actually accessed the facebook page as well sometimes - I'm not sure he even realizes that there is interaction on facebook unavailable to twitter.
However mostly, I just really enjoy Ambrose Bierce Devil's Dictionary (http://www.thedevilsdictionary.com/), which Bakker takes as his inspiration; we had a name for Bakker's rendition kicking around here... I think Duskweaver suggested it.

I'm not a twitter-er and don't frequent TPB so I can't say I've encountered any of this.
I'd say follow sciborg2's suggestion if at all possible.

So would Bakker be the skinny guy who smokes, or the kid who flips his hair out of his face every 4 seconds?
-
I see it on Facebook all the time. I agree that it's kind of weird and overall just...well, I don't know. Not effective at whatever it's trying to achieve.

Definitely the one who flips his hair.

Actually Callan you've had some seriously impressive posts in the last few weeks. I admit to not always getting your thought processes but you've had some insights that've definitely hit me.

Ha, I'd just come here to link that!
Perhaps vain is my estimate he'd actually read this thread and obliquely responded!
I've got a better one(!): Vain - a vessel that carries and distributes life sustaining substances.
It's like a wordplay on vein and needing some ego to survive in this universe...

LOL. I saw this on Facebook on wondered to myself the exact same thing.
-
Isn't he playing off irony with that one, rather than being sensitive?

Most likely.
Then again he's setting himself up to where he isn't himself left with an ambiguous reading.
-
I see he's started taking advantage of hashtags.
Hashtags kind of feed into general searches, don't they? (am asking)
-
Bakker's grasp of social media analogous to the Consult's rediscovery of the Tekne? Slow, but soon he will destroy the world!!!

Not a twitter user myself, but I believe hashtags are used in a self referential for grouping and tracking trends on twitter itself, Callan. I don't think other webapps use them directly.

You incited genuine 'laughter out loud' there, buddy. Well done.

There is a lot of potential for Aurang and Aurax to be Pinky and the Brain.

I guess the last session didn't go so well:

lmao. Long elevator ride with an attractive woman apparently didn't go as planned.

Guess who showed up to Bakker's house for Halloween?

Damn I was hoping for a pic of you dressed as Sarl as Bakker opened the door.
tangent:
