I thought it would be a little fun game to guess deaths. Who will die in TUC, we know death will come swirling down but to who and what order?

*sorry atm I've only thought of one, I was excited by the idea by now I have to think of the other first and second teir characters.

**and should I post this as spoiler?

Nah, geoffro, it's fine. People can die at any time ;).

You should have made a poll.

Everyone! The nuke at Dagliash was a foreshadow for the supernuke at golgotterath. Everyone within the occulsion will die - which will include every major character we've seen so far.

Except Moenghus Sr, who of course made and set off the bomb whilst safely in Shimeh using hyper-meta-super-psukhe secrets that only he knows of.

And here I felt like Akka was the most likely to die...apparently I am the only one, haha.

ok, I'll bite - I've seen some chatter here and there about Moe still being alive - what is the theory supporting this, didn't Cniur kill him with a chorae? Is the thinking it wasn't really him, but a person within another person sorcery of the Cishaurim?

I can't recall anyone really pitching the idea that Moe is actually alive.  More that it's possible he might still be a factor in the Thousandfold Thought from the Outside.

It's not really all that plausible, but it isn't impossible either.

I only voted for Kellhus, getting a whiff from the Grand Master of the Shaft ( i.e. Bakker ) - see the power I have over you, readers? With the stroke of a pen, I can monumentally screw all of you over! Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaa!

A perhaps more interesting question is, who would piss you off the most if they died?

I was joking somewhat. I'm not sure really. I think Akka and Esme may die, Kellhus might "ascend" or sacrifice himself. Maybe Cnaiur has enough and just murders everyone to get some peace.

There is no theory supporting this. Seriously, he's dead. Others might argue otherwise but most of those justification turn on over examining a few choice words (ie, the specific color noted in text when the chorae rolled over him....really?), or relying on deus-ex-machina type secret magics (thus my hyper-meta-super-psuke jab. I've seen suggestions go so far as to say he captured other souls, used them as armor, and the chorae somehow only killed his captured soul armors. Or that he wasn't ever there, or that it was someone that just looked like Moenghus using some kind of soul transplant or skin-spy style replacement stuff using secret psuke-jutsu. These are nor arguments for me)

Other arguments, as H noted, include him still being involved as a post-living entity, such as him ascending into some kind of uber-godhood, transcending death, space, and time to become the Solitary God... or some other such things. While I find these arguments more compelling than the latter, I find it unlikely.

What if...wait for it...everyone is actually already dead?

But seriously, I think Akka is the most likely person who's story arc comes to an end, followed closely by Esmenet.

Of course, I think Cnaiur really dying this time is a forgone conclusion.

I assume that makes Mimara the 6th sense kid. So Kellhus is bruce willis? he'd do for a low budget TSA movie ;)

Or it's all reversed, Kellhus is actually in the role of the kid and Mimara just doesn't understand what she is seeing.
