Or maybe they capture little children collecting salt...

But I suppose it is possible that people from the remaining norther tribes could be recruited. Or Eanna even. There is nothing that says the Three Seas has a monopoly of babies that can see the onta. Would it be worth it though? Could you find a child from the wasted North that could rival the intelegence of Shae? Probably not. But they could make good cannon fodder.

However, the Aporos seems to be a pretty lame branch of sorcery. All it does is negate sorcery. I suppose if they could maintain no-magic fields that kept their enemies from using theirs but allowed the Inchoroi to rain down the pain, that could be useful.

Don't know enough about it to say whether or not it would be useful to have a bunch of new kids running around.

Lol handy indeed. I had forgotten how many battles were fought on those planes. Though it was some kind of topoi before the Vulgar Holy War so that couldn't have affected it, unless there is a question of magnitude (how deep the stain).

Though it would be difficult to determine, since you got the whole No-God death thing blocking any kind of causality.

Contests of faith? I guess that would depend on the faith and how 'valid' it was. 2 false faiths aren't going to change anything. But wars between the cults? Maybe that could affect something. I'd say... More susceptible. The clash of different beliefs rubbing against each other, if intense enough, could weaken or tear the barrier between the world and the outside.

Maybe there where more Anansorimbor Bastards before the apocalypse. Only the world born women with some dilute amount of that blood could hope to bare a dunyain child. I still think that there is some Nonmen in that line.

All viable really. Except I think Batman would have trouble against a swarm of dunyain.

Does the mechanism of Synthese use bear a particular similarity to the No-God's ensoulling of the Weapon Races?

I don't think so. The synthase seem to be some kind of vessel to hold Shae's soul. This may somehow be related to the No-God, perhaps it was where they got the idea or something. Trapping souls is important. But as far as ensoulling  the weapon races? Not really sure what you mean by that, but the No-God was able to project his thoughts through the sranc and such, not really bounce his soul around. It seems distinctly different.

Well it seemed that Locke was implying at least 2 other screws. How do we know of either? The pit that Titirga fell into was not a screw at all. It was a standard mansion, and all the floors happened to collapse one on top the other.

Can't say I ever connected radioactive and TSA. I'll have to think about that next time I hear it.

Yes but why. We are not Serw... I mean Esmi. What is the reason that he could only find 1? Or, why pretend like it?

Either Moe Kell are super lucky, or Kell is a liar... But why lie?

That is certainly a good point. Was Mengedda a particularly big battle? I thought that was a kind of 'last stand' for humans, but that doesn't mean it was particularly big, considering how many were already dead.

The only other topos we know about id Cil' right? And that was hundreds/thousands of years of torture.

Though, it is possible that being eaten by a good could be intensely pleasurable experience. The gods could certainly change how the human soul experiences the sensation, maybe 'hell' is simply a perception  change. Some gods make their food happy, other like the misery. To the human observation it would all look like souls being consumed.

Which leads to the same conclusion, that being cut off from the gods ceases any reason for living, though it changes the destination from "hell" to simply "outside"

How could there only be 2? I know this isn't the central question being discussed, but for me... Seriously!? How is it possible that an Emperor with an empire full of willing woman, and a blind priest, end up finding the same number of viable mothers?

That would be really interesting. I wonder what Inrau looked like as he died? Faithful servant until just before death, than a blasphemer...

I don't see it. Moe wasn't doing that much conditioning, really. He had Maitha do most of his work, and he couldn't do much in Fanim territory anyway. He only had 1 half-son to deal with, and no armies to lead.

Kellhus had to condition the entire world. Moe had only to condition his sons.
