The White-Luck Warrior / Re: Moenghus the Elder's (Other) Children

As you all know I am convinced of Kellhus goodness!

I truly think that Kellhus is in love with Esmi. There are a number of moments in TWP and TTT where we see a real emotional reaction from Kellhus - he even questions himself on the thoughts/feelings he is having and where these feelings are coming from.

This goes along with my view that Kellhus broke on the cross - his mental breakdown and subsequent miracle were just that. A Dunyain who feels could be considered "mad". Like a robot that can love... I think he needed to be sufficiently crazy in order to pull Serwes Heart from his chest and only through becoming "more" could he remove frame of place.

Anyway I know a lot of people think I am crazy but I think this is one of the reasons we are not getting a PoV from Kellhus.

Come on TUC!

Probably looks similar. I cant remember if the Inchoroi gave it to Men or if they just added to it. Can anyone clarify?

I imagine the Gnostic sorceries as big geometric diagrams flying about all crazy and that digital art just seems to fit how I imagine it.

I like your Inchie in rotten armour as well, looks a right horrible bastard.

Oddly enough I am good freinds with the manager of my local Waterstones store. Might be able to make something happen.

Garet I will also keep my eye out for copies as I often buy books in bulk online and from car boots sales. (Second hand sales I think they call the across the Atlantic.)

Som what did you use to make it digital? Looks like you drew it and then digitised some stuff in?

Just curious.

Really oddly structured little book. The middle part being the best IMO.

I did prefer this to both Nemesis and Caves of Steel, although I liked the ending on Nemesis some parts felt too contrived for me. Caves of steel was good just to start to see emergence of the Robotic laws.

Anyone see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-27264552

Apparently they are making good progress and the Nature and Arxiv articles seem to support their claims. Think this is very interesting and abviously relevant for me being in the industry. Maybe in a few decades you will be able to buy Quantum Servers.

Thanks Royce,

I think I will definitely continue with the series then and see how it goes based on this feedback.

Those ships sound weird. I will avoid the Lords Leaf while reading them!

Som that is seriously awesome.

I used to draw a lot of sketch art as a kid (generic fantasy art) but haven't drawn anything in a long time.

Your stuff is fantastic and makes me want to try some TSA fan art.

Might be better leaving it to the Pros!

Saga of Seven Suns takes a while to get into it. I would definetely try, I think if by the end of book 2 your not feeling it then just give up/ Couple of reveals make you want to keep reading. Then I think it was book 5 or 6 that was slow.

Yeah Fallen Dragon just ended kind of quickly but it was really well rounded and I thought the end was satisfying and I just didn't see it coming! Hamilton releasing a new book this year, actually a story I really want to see:

From Wikipedia:

The Chronicle of the Fallers

Hamilton announced in 2011 that he is developing a new trilogy. He later cut this down to two books titled The Chronicle of the Fallers. It is a return to his Commonwealth Universe, set in the time before the Void Trilogy, and will tell the story of Nigel Sheldon and what happened when he broke into the Void. The first book will be ready for publication in 2014.Preliminary titles for the two books are The Abyss Beyond Dreams and The Night Without Stars.Cover art, together with the release date, for The Abyss Beyond Dreams was unveiled on 19th March. The book will be published on 21 October 2014.

If we get some Nigel Sheldon might also get some Oscar Isaacs - Ozzie is da fookin man!

Ok back onto great aliens in literature.

Asimovs The Gods Themsleves features some pretty odd aliens. They inhabit a para-universe and need to soak up energy from their sun, they come as "soft" ones and "hard ones". The soft ones have 3 genders, Rationals, Parentals and Emotionals and the Hard ones have one discernable gender. The interesting thing about them is a bit of a spoiler so I wont post here. Really interesting read and a good novel overall if a little oddly structured. Published 1972 well before I was born.
