Your post made me curious, so I searched eBay from my phone (app was logged in and I didn't feel like logging in on this comptuter). Low and behold, I found a copy of the ARC for 15 bucks and 3 dollars shipping. Bought it. Fingers crossed...

Haha, no, if it does come in (it will be at least a week from now, ugh, media mail) I'm not saying a damn thing. Except I may give my opinion whether or not I think it is TTT level or not.
If it's here approximately on it's projected date (it tells me the 10th) I might be able to work out a deal with you if you want to read it in June, ;)

I just checked and there is another being bidded on at the moment. Last i checked it was $55. I'd buy it if I didn't already pre-order the hardback and Kindle. Alas, I can wait two more months
Yeah, that was the first one that Wilshire had posted about.
My ARC has a tracking number (I've never seen one given for media mail before) and it says it is on it's way from the other side of the country. Fingers crossed.

When i was 18 myself and 2 other friends decided to walk the 25 miles home instead of getting the night bus. 5 hours and 30 odd mins later another friend going to work in his car passed us came back and offered us a lift the final 2 miles, which my other friends wanted to take. I declined as i had walked that far and my 2 other friends walked it with me.
This happened 19 years ago, and we talk intermittently about this event. No one ever says "i wish i had got in the car".
How's that for a rationalisation :)

That would be extremely low for the opposite end of the spectrum from those who have shared theirs here, so long as the reader is still buying the canon artifact, is those who resell their ARC...

Certainly not all of them, since there are a few sellers that keep appearing and selling copies. However, that probably only makes up 33% - 50% of the sold books. The other's could be resold, however all the descriptions list "like new" or other such conditions that make me think that the books remain unread. Even fi you're careful, a read book is fairly obvious to spot compared to an unread.

I bought my ARC from someone seems to specialize in selling ARCs of all descriptions on eBay. Most of their negative feedback is from people complaining about being sent uncorrected/advance proofs instead of retail copies!?!

This one is reasonably priced but I don't think it is worth it any longer, by the time it arrives the book will be out in about two weeks.
Yeah, I thought about buying one too but having never bought anything from eBay I couldn't count on the book reaching me before August. I've had things delivered for me before where 'two weeks' became two months. Same thing applies for all the giveaways.
Maybe if this was the original TUC I would have paid a minor fortune to have it arrive in less than a week (assuming that it's possible with eBay). But I feel like reading TGO and not finishing the story would be worse than not reading it at all.
