I have read the first two books, and I liked them alot:) Have not read thieves yet,but I will eventually.

Liked the first one better than the second, thought the latter dragged a bit, maybe a bit to long?.Maybe I just fell in love with Gamorra ;)

Camorr, you mean, the city from TLoLL?

I think, actually, that this is the number one reason why people have fallen off in the previous books. Camorr was such a damn cool setting and Lynch had obviously fleshed it out more-so than Tal Verrar (RSURS) or Karthain (TRoT).

hahahaa, did I actually write Gamorra?? That is ridiculous. CAMORR was indeed a fantastic setting. Got a bit seasick in RSURS.

Love the ambitious heists though, and Locke and Jean are lovable characters.

It will be interesting to see how the movie turns out though..

Interesting. I didn't know that Irons had borne an Irons the II, which is awesome :).

Lol.It would be fun to see Camorr on the screen, but I recon the movie would be a pretty straight forward heist movie, with witty oneliners and many "he almost died" moments.

Locke must surely be a fan of this series,or am I missing something? :)

I have read the first two books in the series. The "Republic of Thieves" isn't available in german yet and I am not in the mood now to read it in english, because I have so many other books to read first.
It was a cool, venetian-like Fantasy, refreshingly it wasn't another "medieval" setting. The conversations between the characters were entertaining and the story had enough surprises and turning points to enjoy the whole plot.  I were not very emotional attached to the characters, but Locke's schemes and the interesting locations and persons made up for it.
It was a very good read for relaxing saturday afternoons in the summer, sitting in the garden and sipping some cool drink.

Shit.  I don't have time to read this, yet it seems I my DTCB will be dragging me to the commercial areas and trying to buy it today.  :'(

Smashed RoT whilst camping and performing at a week long folk festival this last week.  Quite good, I thought.  Better that RSURS - but that unresolved ending :p

Sabetha turned out to be surprisingly engaging.

Happy to discuss further if anyone wishes.  Pipe up if you want us to use spoil tags too.

Would be great if you put in spoilers if you talk about RoT ;)

No problems.  Aussie release only happened last week and sounds like it's taking a while to get into other languages.
