Black metal, death metal, heavy metal, a bit of power metal. Basically the good stuff.
Agreed! Great subgenres! Any melodic death metal/folk metal? That's what I've been listening to the most lately. Stuff like Children of Bodom, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Kalmah, etc.

"And I renounce..." He trailed, warred with errant passions. "I renounce my wife."
His eyes fell upon Esmenet, stricken upon the floor. My wife!
"Noooo," she wept and whispered. "Pleaaase, Akka..."
"As an adulteress," he continued, his voice cracking, "and a... a..."
His face a mask of nimil, he turned without leave, began walking back the way he came. The Men of the Tusk stared at him dumbstruck

I don't really have a favorite genre...

I don't find myself liking much metal, or punk, ska, mainstream country, dance or most radio-play pop though.
I am a warrior of ages, Anasurimbor. . . ages. I have dipped my nimil in a thousand hearts. I have ridden both against and for the No-God in the great wars that authored this wilderness. I have scaled the ramparts of great Golgotterath, watched the hearts of High Kings break for fury. -Cet'ingira

I like a couple of melodeath songs (for example Arch Enemy - Fields of Desolation), but overall it's not my style. Some of my favorite bands include Deathspell Omega and Svartidauði.

Three was not enough choices ;).

I listen to basically everything - except country but my reactive dismissal of that is waning as I get older.

90s indie is probably 'my music', but I like most stuff.  I've starting listening to classical music in the car - no DJ's wittering and very relaxing.  I don't really get metal, but do like Mastodon.

Good stuff. Another band worth checking out would be Funeral Mist if you haven't heard of them. They're on the same label as DO.

Noted! I've been listening to a bit of Carach Angren lately. Symphonic Black metal trio. Fun stuff. I like " The sighting is a portent of doom"

Yeah, I broke that down into different categories - think Rave might be what you could vote for, that or House.
It's me, Dave, open up, I've got the stuff
