Whew.
Alright, once again, I apologize for the time it has taken to get everything set up. I would have loved to have had this all finalized months ago.
As per my previous post with some crucial amendments:What: Zaudunyanicon 2017
When: August Fri, 11 – Sun, 13
Where: Holiday Inn, 855 Wellington Road South, London, ON N6E 3N5, Canada
Telephone: 1-519-668-7900 (+1 is Canada's country code so that phone number should work from US/Worldwide.)
Block Code: 84203 and three letter code is ZAU (since the front desk is easily confused by "Zaudunyanicon"

).
It is near the expressway from Toronto (YYZ) but, probably at a prohibitive price, people can also fly into London (YXU). I know a couple people mentioned possibly renting cars from Toronto to drive in a group to London (I'll try and connect people across different online mediums who may be planning on flying into Toronto).
We've booked an event room for 40 people (a big thanks to Wilshire). That space is ours from 6-9pm on Fri, Aug 11th and 1pm-5pm on Sat, Aug 12th.
It's still my hope that Bakker will give a small talk/Q&A for the Zaudunyani on the Friday evening, followed by whoever wants to hitting the hotel bar or nearby restaurant. Saturday, we will return to our event space, likely have tea/coffee/juice provided, and ideally we'll mingle and chat while Bakker signs books. There's been rumblings of maybe a small/tapered session of D&D by Camlost and Garet Jax - the infamous Quorumtender - and Saturday afternoon/evening we'll find a restaurant/bar again. On the Saturday, I encourage fans to bring board games/cards/tabletop things. As per Ishoiya and the six of us last year, it's just really exciting to meet Bakker fans and have that unadulterated outlet while hanging out. Personally, I'm a big euchre and Settlers fan. If William R comes, mayhaps he'll be persuaded to game his prototype Earwa-inspired boardgame.
Sunday, of course, will be checkout day and everyone will have made plans to flee the city and/or country and slog back to their respective locales.
We're still working on "cost per ticket" for the "event" (scare quotes because I'm entirely an amateur at this). We said before at 25 people, the approximate cost may be $35 (that's likely to be a little less since I think we're just going to leave eating for after our event space bookings - though, I'm going to make sure tea/juice/coffee is available on the Saturday).
The event coordinator has been fantastic and has booked us a block of rooms for Fri and Sat night at $103 a night.
Please call the hotel at 1-519-668-7900 and book your rooms, if needed, with the Block Code above (84203 and the three letter code ZAU).Cheers.
I believe currently the code is good until the end of the month. Any questions, concerns, problems before or after then, you can reach me at kellianempire@hotmail.com
