TSACast #10 - Notes:
- Bolivar and I refer to two of LostCasts #6 & #7, which feature both about 30 and 45 minutes of recorded content and Bolivar's first two introductions.
-
Disciple thread by FB, some discussion of "Bakker & Women" there-in.
- I mention that LTG is semi-autobiographical but in the LTG speculation threads there was a connection made to Kaufman's
Adaptation, by Jorge, I believe.
-
Who Are You Rooting For? [Spoilers] thread, also started by Jorge.
- I definitely laugh when Bolivar brings up awesome side characters and GJ somehow miraculously lurks, withholding the compulsive "Athjeari" mention.
- Looks to be a semi-decent source on
The First Crusade; though, for my money, the
Second Crusade seems to have offered more cited examples over the years of speculative antecedents.
- Aforementioned
Vulgar People's Crusade- H's reread
Crusade link post, which has a Fourth Crusade reference as well.
-
Harold Lamb - Iron Men and Saints- One of
Harold Lamb's cheap e-book reprints Bolivar mentioned.
- I believe H tried to recall Sasheoka, former Grandmaster of the Scarlet Spires.
- As for Esmenet & Aurang threads, searching either of those names alone or together from the main page without the "&" should yield a few results.
- Gall. I'd write out the whole "Mimara introduction quote" I'd mentioned but it is not only the first sentence of Esmenet's first perspective, it is the first couple paragraphs (
TDTCB, p118, in mine).
That's it for what I noticed. Good job to H and Bolivar.
As I mentioned, I'd love to have a Cast where H and FB go toe to toe for nerdanels, with an MG sprinkled in and another with TSA's fan-artists, Somnambulist, Quinthane, and a dash of FB.
And we'll need volunteers for TWP's portion of the Slog TSACast.
