Lol, okay, okay.  So as far as my inspiration for the image goes... I don't know what else to say but that Scott's words inspired me.  Simple as that, no great reveal or insider knowledge happening.  Just thought it was a great, enigmatic scene that might work well as a teaser for the book.

As for Scott's inspiration regarding writing the scene, I only found out afterward when he kindly divulged it in an email.  Far be it from me to illuminate another's creative inspirations, but let's just say his use of the term 'spill the beans' was quite appropriate.
