Like, I suspect, the majority of your readers I had until recently considered Achamian the closest thing to a self-insert character in the meta-series. Recently it occurred to me that this was wrong. While pondering your cryptic comments about losing your faith in your mid/late adolescence, I couldn't help but think of poor butt-ravaged Proyas having his faith ruined. I have to ask - is Proyas really the closest thing to a self-insert in this series? Or are he and Akka a doublet for your younger and older selves?
